There may be bugs on the chinchilla, causing its ears to turn red. In this case, you can try to pick a few peach leaves and put them in a small bag, put the chinchilla in for 2-3 minutes, and make sure the chinchilla's head is exposed, so that the bugs can be killed. In addition, check whether the cage is clean and dusty to prevent red ears caused by allergens.

Why are there white shells on chinchilla's ears?

The scabs formed in the chinchilla's ears may be caused by fungi or mites, or the chinchilla may scratch itself to see if there is yellow water. You can go to the hospital for a check-up.

Before treatment, the excess hair around the ear should be shaved off, the inner part of the ear should be kept dry and ventilated, and the scabs that begin to fall off should be wiped with a wet tissue. After cleaning, the ear should be cleaned with ear drops and treated with antibacterial and anti-mite ear spray.
