Standards for garbage classification

At present, my country divides garbage into four categories, namely recyclables, hazardous waste, kitchen waste, and other garbage. Recyclables are divided into five categories, namely waste paper, plastic, glass, metal, and cloth; wet garbage and restaurant kitchen waste are both included in the category of kitchen waste; hazardous waste includes waste batteries, etc.

At present, my country divides garbage into four main categories, such as recyclables, hazardous waste, kitchen waste, and other waste. In addition to these four categories, there are 11 subcategories. At present, in some pilot areas, some kitchen waste, restaurant kitchen waste, and "wet waste" are all included in the category of kitchen waste.

There are five main types of recyclables: waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and cloth, all of which can be recycled. Kitchen waste includes food waste and food scraps left over from catering activities, such as leftovers, fertilizers, food processing waste, and food that will rot and spoil.

Hazardous waste includes waste batteries, waste fluorescent tubes, mercury thermometers, expired medicines, etc., which require special treatment. Other waste has a wider range. In addition to common waste, there are also construction waste such as bricks, tiles, and ceramics. Recycling this type of waste can reduce the chance of surface and groundwater pollution.
