Sprinkle the collected flower buds in a square baking tray made of bamboo, reed and other materials, place them on the bottom layer, move them upward once every 2-4 hours, and check whether they are dry after moving them to the upper layer. When they meet the dryness standard, store them in time. The dryness standard is: they make a sound when squeezed and break into pieces when crushed.

Note: Whether it is sun-drying or baking, the flower buds cannot be touched or turned over by hand before they are dry, otherwise the flower buds will turn black, reducing the quality and affecting sales.

Temperature control: When drying starts, the temperature is controlled at 30-35℃; after 2 hours, the temperature is raised to about 40℃; after another 5-10 hours, the temperature is raised to 45-50℃ and maintained for 10 hours; finally, the temperature is raised to 55-58℃, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 60℃.
