Are hypoechoic breast nodules cancerous?

Are hypoechoic breast nodules cancerous?

Strictly speaking, breast lump is a symptom, which belongs to the symptom of breast hyperplasia. Breast lumps can be divided into two different types: benign and malignant. There are many different types of benign tumors, such as breast carcinoma, breast fibroids, etc. After having a breast lump, it is necessary to find out whether it is benign or malignant.

Are hypoechoic breast nodules cancer?

Breast hypoechoic nodules are not necessarily cancer. They may be breast fibroids, breast cysts, lobular hyperplasia and other diseases. Because this disease can cause patients to develop hypoechoic breast nodules. Therefore, it is best for patients to have a breast mammography examination at this time, because breast mammography X-ray films have a high sensitivity for breast cancer and can very well identify whether a breast lump is breast cancer. If the breast mammography X-ray film examination suspects that the breast lump is a malignant tumor, then it is best to surgically remove the lump and then do a pathophysiological examination to confirm the diagnosis.

Is it good if the boundaries of hypoechoic breast nodules are clear?

During the examination, if there is low echo and the boundary of the mass is very clear, it is benign. A benign breast mass may be a metastasis or multiple. It is generally more common in women of appropriate age. During palpation, the mass is firm and has clear boundaries, and the mobility is also relatively good. If it is a malignant breast mass, most of them are metastasis, which is more common in middle-aged and elderly women. The texture of the mass is relatively hard, the boundary is very unclear, and the mobility is also very poor.

If the breast lumps are caused by breast hyperplasia, they are multiple and may be on one side or both sides. The size and texture of the lumps will change with the woman's cycle. Before the menstrual period, the lumps will expand and the texture will be relatively hard. After the menarche, the lumps will naturally become smaller and the texture will become looser. During inspection, lumps of irregular size will be found, and the boundary with the surrounding tissues is not very clear. Most of them will have a dull pain, and there will be no adhesion to the superficial tissues and skin, and they will continue to move.

The condition of low echo in the breast and clear boundary of the nodule is good. Generally, there will be tumor rotation or multiple tumors, which are very common in women of appropriate age. If it is malignant, most of the tumors are hard and the boundary is not very clear.
