What to do if your period is too light on the first day

The amount of bleeding on the first day of menstruation is very small. If the amount starts to increase from the 2nd to 3rd day, the amount of vaginal bleeding during the entire menstrual period is between 20 and 60 ml, and the menstrual period is between 2 and 8 days, then it is normal. In most cases, the amount of vaginal bleeding on the first day of a woman's menstruation is still relatively small, because the woman's estrogen begins to decrease and the uterine wall in the uterine cavity is less exfoliated. As women's estrogen and progesterone levels continue to decrease, the protective effect of growth hormone on the uterine wall will further decrease, so the exfoliation of the uterine wall will gradually increase, and the amount of vaginal bleeding will gradually increase.

There is no clinical treatment for very scanty menstruation. Normally, corresponding treatment must be given according to the cause of the disease. For example, if intrauterine adhesions caused by repeated abortions lead to scanty menstruation, the adhesions can be separated by hysteroscopy, and then an IUD can be inserted to prevent adhesions again. After the operation, Bugyal can be taken orally. If oligomenorrhea is caused by polycystic ovary syndrome, clinically, androgen reduction treatment should be given for 3 months to half a year. After the androgen level returns to normal, artificial cycle treatment or ovulation induction treatment can be performed. If oligomenorrhea is caused by tuberculosis of the uterine wall, anti-tuberculosis treatment is required. If your scanty menstruation is caused by birth control pills, stop taking emergency contraception.

The main reasons for scanty menstrual flow are endocrine and nervous dysfunction, intrauterine adhesions, side effects of drugs, excessive psychological stress, changes in environmental factors, and malnutrition. Patients with intrauterine adhesions need to undergo laparoscopic surgery for treatment. Others with scanty menstruation can currently be treated with Chinese herbal medicine, such as Liuwei Dihuang Pills, Jiawei Xiaoyao Pills, Qizhi Xiangfu Pills, Wuji Baifeng Pills, etc. Different medicines are used according to different symptoms.

We should pay attention to our diet, which should be light in taste and rich in nutrients. Supplementing more iron or vitamin C can promote the blood-enriching function and help assist in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia. One week before the menarche, you can increase the intake of fruits and vegetables, maintain smooth bowel movements and reduce pelvic hemorrhage, drink plenty of water, and supplement with more protein or nutritious foods, such as protein foods, milk, lean meat, eggs, etc.
