When pregnant women enter the late stage of pregnancy, doctors will suggest that pregnant mothers check an indicator, that is, blood sugar level. If it exceeds the standard, it is not strange, but it will definitely affect pregnant women and fetuses. Pregnant women generally take in enough nutrients to ensure the growth and development needs of themselves and their fetuses. Pregnant mothers will eat many different nutritious foods during pregnancy, but too much intake can cause high blood sugar problems. So how to control high blood sugar during pregnancy?

For normal people, the standard value of blood sugar can be maintained within the range of 3.9~6.1mmol/L, but due to the particularity of pregnant women, the standard value of blood sugar is strictly controlled. The normal blood sugar level for pregnant women should not exceed 5.1mmol/L. One hour after a meal, the normal blood sugar level should not exceed 10.250mol/L. Two hours after a meal, the normal blood sugar level should not exceed 8.5mmol/L. If you don't have a history of diabetes when you're trying to get pregnant, high blood sugar levels during pregnancy may not have obvious symptoms. Only when sugar is selected will the index value exceed the standard.

1. After the first blood sugar level is found to be above the standard, it is necessary to control your diet according to the doctor's advice. Many pregnant women gain weight in the late stages of pregnancy, which can easily lead to obesity. Obesity during pregnancy can certainly cause high blood sugar levels. Please help your doctor to arrange an effective pregnancy diet and strictly follow the pregnancy menu.

2. Eat small and frequent meals according to the principle of a reasonable diet. Pregnant women should not lose weight. Adjust the food structure and calorie ratio according to the body shape. It is best to eat three meals a day, eat less high-sugar fruits, and the daily fruit intake should not exceed 200 grams, and eat between meals. Fresh fruits high in sugar include apples, strawberries, bananas, melons, cherries, cantaloupe, etc. In short, all sweet fruits should be eaten less. Once your blood sugar levels stabilize, consider eating again. 400-500 grams of vegetables and fruits every day, of which no less than 50% should be colored vegetables and fruits.
