Can endometrial hyperplasia become cancerous?

Can endometrial hyperplasia become cancerous?

Whether endometrial thickening will cause lesions depends on the type of endometrial thickening in the patient, which is generally divided into three types: 1. Simple endometrial thickening. 2. Multiple endometrial thickening. 3. Atypical endometrial thickening. If the patient has simple endometrial hyperplasia, it is generally not easy to cause lesions. However, if the patient has simple endometrial hyperplasia or atypical endometrial hyperplasia, the possibility of causing lesions is very high. Endometrial thickening is a very serious condition for women. It can cause a variety of symptoms, including anemia, infertility and even disease. Therefore, women should pay enough attention to this matter, go to the hospital for relevant examinations as soon as possible, and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.

First of all, there are many types of endometrial hyperplasia, which can be divided into simple hyperplasia of the uterine wall, multiple hyperplasia of the uterine wall and mixed hyperplasia of the uterine wall. Different types of hyperplasia have different probabilities of disease. Generally speaking, the probability of simple hyperplasia of the uterine wall is not high. However, multiple hyperplasia and mixed hyperplasia of the uterine wall may be a precancerous lesion. If they are not treated in time, they will cause lesions to a great extent. Therefore, if endometrial hyperplasia is found, it is recommended to receive effective treatment as soon as possible.

Irregular proliferation of the uterine wall may indicate the presence of uterine intrauterine polyps or may be caused by uneven shedding of the endometrium, not necessarily cancer. When there is irregular hyperplasia of the uterine wall, it is recommended to perform hysteroscopic curettage to identify and eliminate the possibility of cancer.

Because simple endometrial hyperplasia cannot be diagnosed as cancer, it requires analysis through some pathological tests to make a detailed diagnosis. You can also first do a blood test for tumor markers to see if there is any persistent improvement. If it is within the normal range, the probability of disease will be greatly reduced. After curettage of the uterine wall, the pathological results show that there is only some hyperplasia. At this time, some estrogen and estrogen can be taken orally for artificial cycle regulation to help restore the uterine wall and avoid the existence of frequent endometrial hyperplasia.
