What does cold and damp belt mean?

What does cold and damp belt mean?

If the amount of clear and thin fluid increases significantly, and the color, quality, and taste become abnormal, or if there are systemic or partial symptoms, it is called "leucorrhea", also known as "white discharge" or "dirty discharge". It is equivalent to the increase in clearing caused by diseases such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and gynecological tumors in Western medicine. So, what does damp, cold, clear and thin mean?

Normal women have abundant kidney essence, healthy temperament, unobstructed conception meridian, strong belt meridian, and a small amount of white or colorless, transparent, odorless viscous fluid in their vagina, especially before and after menstruation, during the middle and late stages of menstruation, during pregnancy and after childbirth, to moisten the vulva and defend against wind evil. This is physiological fluid secretion. If the amount of clear fluid increases significantly, or the color, texture, or taste becomes abnormal, it is leucorrhea. In clinical medicine, discharge, yellow discharge and red discharge are the most common. However, there are times when leucorrhea is very light and the menstrual period is regular. Leucorrhea is often consistent with some symptoms of scanty menstruation and amenorrhea.

The clinical symptoms of leucorrhea are clear and increasing discharge. Clinical medicine must combine syndrome differentiation with disease differentiation to carry out treatment. In Western medicine, gynecological diseases such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and tumors can be seen here with a large amount of clear discharge. After a clear diagnosis, it should be treated according to the syndrome differentiation of leucorrhea. If necessary, gynecological examinations and cancer screening should be carried out to avoid missing any diseases.

Leucorrhea is caused by dampness and turbidity, so the disease is recurrent and difficult to recover quickly. It is also often complicated by irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, infertility and other symptoms. Women who have just given birth are prone to infection with dampness and turbidity because they have expended a lot of energy after giving birth. Therefore, women who have just given birth should pay great attention to the prevention of leucorrhea.

Causes of leukorrhea after childbirth

From the perspective of Western medicine, the cause of leucorrhea after childbirth is a gynecological disease caused by vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammation, cervical cancer, uterine fibroids, uterine adenocarcinoma, vaginal foreign bodies, etc. The most common causes are cervicitis, candidal vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, and senile vaginitis.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the main reason for leucorrhea after childbirth is that dampness affects the Ren and Dai meridians, resulting in the failure of the Dai meridian and the Ren meridian. Dampness and turbidity can be divided into internal and external. External dampness refers to exogenous wind, cold and heat evils; body dampness is mostly caused by spleen deficiency and kidney deficiency.

1. Cold and dampness: Cold and dampness (poison) is caused by unclean health care, or living in a humid environment for a long time, or due to surgical injuries, so that cold and dampness, pathogens invade the belt meridian and cause cold and dampness. There are also cases of damp-heat in the liver meridian, or due to the accumulation of heat and toxicity, which damages the blood vessels and causes clear, thin, red and white discharge.

2. Spleen deficiency: caused by diet combination, excessive fatigue, poor luck, accumulation of dampness and turbidity, which damage the Ren and Dai meridians and cause leukorrhea.

3. Kidney deficiency: insufficient kidney essence or frequent sexual intercourse, which may lead to kidney storage failure. There may also be insufficient kidney yang, excessive fire, burning blood vessels, and loss of the Ren and Dai belts, resulting in thin red and white stools.
