Three types of scar pregnancy

Three types of scar pregnancy

What if you want to know how to clinically diagnose cesarean scar pregnancy? Then you need to understand what cesarean scar pregnancy is. The full name of this medical English is post-cesarean section incision scar pregnancy, which means that a cesarean section has been performed in the past, and the gestational sac is implanted in the scar, which is called cesarean scar pregnancy, and it can also be generally referred to as incisional pregnancy. So, what are the three clinical diagnoses of scar pregnancy?

Uterine scar pregnancy is caused by cesarean section and is related to the patient's physical condition. The clinical diagnosis of uterine scar pregnancy varies. There are three types of clinical diagnosis of uterine scar pregnancy. Type 1 is that the uterine serosa and muscular membrane at the scar are extremely thin (7.5px). Type 2 is the thinnest part of the uterine serosa membrane at the scar, 7.5px. But 2.5px, the gestational sac or mass does not protrude or slightly protrudes towards the bladder. Type 3: The scar is 2.5px thick or not continuous in the muscle layer, and the mass bulges significantly toward the bladder. According to different clinical diagnoses, the treatment methods are also different. It is recommended that patients receive effective treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

How to clinically diagnose cesarean section scar pregnancy? It can be divided into 4 types mainly based on the relationship between the implantation site of the gestational sac embryo and the wound scar. Type "0" means that the gestational sac embryo is implanted in an area close to the wound, but the two are not connected, so the diagnosis of strict incisional pregnancy cannot be established. Type "1" means that only a small part of the embryo in the gestational sac is implanted in the wound scar, and the vast majority is located outside the wound. For type "2", at least half of the fetal sac is inside the wound, and a small part is outside the wound. Type "3" means that all embryos in the gestational sac are implanted in the wound scar.

Post-cesarean section scar pregnancy is a unique type of ectopic pregnancy and was previously a rare disease. But as the cesarean section rate continues to soar, this condition has become more common. The main harm is that it poses a serious threat to both mother and child. For pregnant women, it can cause uterine rupture, miscarriage, internal bleeding in early pregnancy, etc. For the fetus, there may be delayed language development, stillbirth, etc. Especially the dangerous placenta previa, which is common in clinical medicine, may cause risks such as placenta accreta and even embryo permeation, high risk of obstetric bleeding, and a high possibility of hysterectomy, which can even lead to the death of the pregnant woman in severe cases.

Therefore, it is currently believed that if a woman is diagnosed with the latter 3 types of post-cesarean section scar pregnancy, it is best to terminate the pregnancy. Only by terminating pregnancy in time at an early stage can the above series of risks be avoided and the safety of pregnancy and childbirth be ensured.
