The most common metastatic pathway of cervical cancer

The most common metastatic pathway of cervical cancer

Among all gynecological diseases, cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor disease. The current incidence rate is getting higher and higher. In addition, the age of onset is also showing a younger age. Therefore, all adult women must have a full understanding and pay attention to this disease. This disease is relatively hidden in the early stage, and after the symptoms develop to the middle and late stages, they will migrate to other locations, such as the head, lymph nodes, etc.

The most common migration mode of cervical cancer

The migration modes of cervical cancer are divided into immediate spread, lymphatic metastasis and blood circulation migration. In clinical medicine, immediate spread and lymph node migration are more common. Direct spread is the most common, because the cancerous tissue of cervical cancer spreads to adjacent organs and tissues, and invades the vaginal wall. It rarely invades the uterine cavity, and spreads to the main tendon and the cervix, vaginal tissue to the pelvic wall. The cancerous lesions of cervical cancer can also invade the urethra, causing blockage and water retention of the urethra. Lymph node migration is generally divided into two levels: the first level includes para-uterine, omental, internal iliac, external iliac, common iliac, and anterior iliac lymph nodes; the second level includes inguinal thick and thin lymph nodes and para-aortic lymph nodes. Blood circulation migration is very rare, and in advanced cases it can migrate to the lungs, liver, and even bones.

1. When cervical cancer develops to a certain stage, it will migrate to the human brain. This is mainly through stubborn migration to the head. Compared with other parts, it is more difficult to treat after migration to the head. Patients will have nausea, retching, blurred vision and other discomfort symptoms. Even some patients will migrate to the frontal lobe, frontal lobe and other parts.

2. Some patients will also spread the disease into the vagina. Cervical cancer first damages the vagina and then slowly spreads to the middle and lower part of the vagina. The disease inside the cervix will cause the cervical canal to expand, enlarge, thicken, and harden. It will also invade the uterine cavity and eventually spread outside the abdomen. At the same time, the patient's pelvis will also develop very hard cancer foci, which will compress one or both sides of the urethra and cause ureteral obstruction.

3. Cervical cancer can also invade the interstitial space and the lymphatic vessels to form tumor thrombi, which flow to adjacent lymph nodes along with tissue fluid and then spread inside and outside the lymph nodes. This is what we often call lymph metastasis.

4. Patients in the late stage or with weak division may also spread the disease to the lungs, liver, kidneys and other places, and migrate through the blood. The patient will also experience corresponding discomfort in the corresponding organs of the human body.

We now know that cervical cancer can indeed migrate to the brain. In addition to the brain, cervical cancer can also invade our lymphatic system and migrate through the blood vessels, causing discomfort in multiple parts of the patient's body. Because this type of disease is generally difficult to detect, this requires women to go to the hospital for regular physical examinations regularly. Only in this way can we detect this disease in the early stage and take active measures to treat it.
