How to prevent pregnancy without taking birth control pills

Emergency contraception has a certain practical effect and can avoid contraceptive measures. However, although contraceptive measures can be guaranteed, there are still cases where women can get pregnant after taking contraceptive pills. Taking contraceptive pills can only reduce the probability of women getting pregnant. In the case of two people having sex, if they do not want to get pregnant, men and women must take safety precautions. Women should pay attention to taking safety precautions. So, what is the probability of getting pregnant after taking contraceptive pills?

What are the chances of getting pregnant while taking birth control pills?

The success rate of emergency contraception is 98%, but you still have a 2% chance of getting pregnant.

1. Unilateral estrogen

Unilateral estrogen contraceptives, most commonly contain levonorgestrel, and are all over-the-counter drugs. There are mainly two specifications: one is 0.75mg, 2 tablets taken orally at a time, or 1 tablet for the first time, and the second tablet after 12 hours, which is represented by the Yuting vaccine; the other is 1.5mg, 1 tablet taken orally at a time, which is represented by the Danmei vaccine. The sooner you take the pill, the better the effect of preventing pregnancy will be. There is no need to avoid food before, after, or around the time of taking the medicine.

Before the egg is released, unilateral estrogen contraceptives have the effect of inhibiting or delaying ovulation. When used after ovulation, they can change the shape of the uterine wall. The early products (gastric-coated tablets) have a contraceptive efficiency of more than 85%. Now, after the improvement of the formulation, the enteric-coated capsules have an efficiency of up to 99.8%.

2. Anti-estrogen

The ingredient of anti-estrogen contraceptives is Mifepristone. Common well-known brands include Simian tablets, Biyun capsules, Huadian tablets, etc., all of which are medicines. When used as a contraceptive, take 25 mg orally on an empty stomach or 2 hours after a meal within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse or accidental pregnancy, and avoid eating for 1-2 hours after taking it.

Anti-estrogen contraceptives have the functions of stopping early pregnancy, preventing embryo implantation, inducing menstruation and promoting cervical perfection. They compete with progesterone for kinase and achieve the effect of antagonizing progesterone. Taking different amounts of Mifepristone will achieve different effects: Under normal circumstances, taking 10 to 25 mg of Mifepristone each time can be used as a contraceptive; taking 150 mg can prevent pregnancy within 49 days. Those who fail to conceive in the early stages of pregnancy after using this product must undergo abortion surgery to terminate the pregnancy.
