Generally speaking, women ovulate once a month.

After entering puberty, due to the secretion of gonadotropin by the pituitary gland, the embryonic egg in the ovary begins to grow and produce estrogen. The space around the egg is filled with fluid, which contains a large amount of estrogen. The growing egg slowly moves to the surface of the ovary, the egg wall becomes thinner and thinner, and finally breaks open. The perfect egg cell is injected into the abdomen along with the egg fluid. This process is called ovulation.

Generally, there is one ovulation each month, which can be discharged alternately from the upper and lower uterus and ovaries, or continuously from one side of the uterus and ovaries. The ovulation period is related to factors such as the natural environment, mentality, physical condition, sexual life, contraceptive drugs, etc. Sometimes ovulation may occur early or two eggs may be released at a time, and sometimes ovulation may be delayed or there may be no ovulation temporarily.

Generally speaking, a woman's ovulation period is about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation the 10 days in the ovulation period. Why are there 2 ovulations in a month with a 6-day interval?

Ovulation occurs 6 days apart twice a month, which is an abnormal situation. For most women, the normal menstrual cycle is about 28 days, and every time a menstrual period comes, there is an ovulation period. If the menstruation is regular, there will be only one menstrual period each month, in other words, there will only be one ovulation period.

Therefore, it is not easy to have two ovulation periods in a month. However, some women may have two menstruations in a month with a short interval between them, which may result in two ovulation periods in a month.

However, such women are very unique and rare. Their egg cell decline rate is relatively faster than other women, so the age of menopause will become earlier.
