Symptoms and pictures of syphilis

Syphilis can generally be divided into three degrees: primary syphilis, secondary syphilis, and tertiary syphilis. The symptoms vary depending on the severity of the disease.

1. Symptoms of primary syphilis: When you are first infected with syphilis, the symptoms are usually not very serious. They will cause rice-sized nodules or rashes to appear on the reproductive organs, without obvious symptoms such as itching and pain. However, when you touch it with your hand, you will find that the area is relatively hard, which will last for about 4 weeks. If not treated in time, the symptoms will worsen.

2. Symptoms of secondary syphilis: Once the syphilis infection enters the secondary stage, it will cause fatigue and weakness in the limbs, as well as dizziness, headache and swollen joints. Especially when walking, the symptoms of local pain and swelling in the joints will be further aggravated. In addition, the lymph nodes will become enlarged and there will be a pustular rash locally on the reproductive organs.

3. Symptoms of tertiary syphilis: When syphilis enters the tertiary stage, it is already quite serious. Lymph nodes throughout the body will become swollen, and there will also be nodular syphilitic rash. Rash of varying sizes but relatively symmetrical will appear on the scalp, back, and shoulder blades, and may even have a serious impact on the central nervous system of cardiovascular disease.

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease, mainly caused by infection with Treponema pallidum. After being infected with the disease, it is necessary to use penicillin-type drugs for treatment as soon as possible under the guidance of a doctor.
