Baby moves on the left, boy or girl

Baby moves on the left, boy or girl

In daily life, we sometimes inadvertently hear some conversations between pregnant women. Some pregnant women say: "My child always moves on the left. I heard that if it moves on the left, it must be a boy!" I don’t know what the basis is for such pregnant women to judge the gender of the baby by the position of the baby’s fetal movement, but some people are always skeptical about this statement. So, is it true that if the baby moves on the left side during pregnancy, it means it is a boy?

It is not reasonable to judge the gender of the baby based on the location of the fetal movement, so it is not reliable to say that the baby is a boy if the movement on the left side during pregnancy.

The sex of the fetus is determined as soon as the test tube embryo is produced. If the test tube embryo is fused with xx chromosomes, the sex of the baby is female. If it is xy chromosomes, the sex of the baby is male. The sex of the baby has been determined before the fetal movement is detected.

Moreover, during pregnancy, the baby's fetal position is constantly changing. The baby sways in the belly and will not always maintain the same posture. There is no regularity at all. Sometimes the baby moves on the left, and soon it will run to the right. In this way, how can we determine the baby's gender based on the position? Therefore, the saying that if the pregnancy moves on the left side, it means a boy, and if it moves on the right side, it means a girl, is completely groundless.

The baby's gender can only be determined by scientific methods, such as B-ultrasound, DNA blood tests and amniocentesis. Of course, designated medical institutions in our country are not allowed to identify the sex of the fetus, so mothers and fathers should wait patiently for the newborn to be born before finding out.

If the fetal heartbeat is on the left, is it a boy or a girl?

The fetal heartbeat sometimes stops briefly, or the rate reaches 180 beats per minute, which is normal. However, if this phenomenon occurs frequently or for a long time, you must see a doctor immediately. The fetal heartbeat can be heard at 12 weeks of pregnancy, but the fetal heartbeat is very soft and can only be heard with a Doppler fetal heart monitor. The fetal heartbeat can only be heard by using fetal heartbeat headphones at 18 weeks. Generally, before 15 weeks of pregnancy, there is no need for ultrasonic Doppler fetal heart rate monitoring. For pregnant women between 15 and 28 weeks of gestation, it is safe to measure three times a day for one minute each time. For pregnant women after 28 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus has completely split and the monitoring time and frequency can be extended. For high-risk pregnant women after 35 weeks of pregnancy, they should be hospitalized and have their fetal heartbeat continuously monitored using a blood pressure monitor. If necessary, long-term continuous monitoring can be performed.

The position of the fetal heart rate has nothing to do with the gender of the baby. Whether a baby is a boy or a girl is determined by the male sperm. When a man's X chromosome sperm fuses with an egg cell, a daughter is born; when a man's Y chromosome sperm fuses with an egg cell, a boy is conceived. Generally, the reproductive organs of the fetus begin to grow and develop after the third month of pregnancy. At this time, the gender of the fetus can be determined by ultrasound histological observation, which is a simple and effective method. In fact, it is the same whether you have a boy or a girl. As long as you are healthy, there is no need to evaluate in advance.
