The nutritious diet during the confinement period does not mean just eating delicious food and other nourishing foods. How to prepare a nutritious diet for the confinement period depends on the various physical conditions of women:

1. Mothers with cold constitution

Dishes: For new mothers with a cold constitution, they can take some nourishing foods or medicines to achieve the purpose of nourishing blood and replenishing Qi. Such as sesame oil chicken, shochu chicken, four-substance soup, four-substance chicken or Shiquan Dabu soup, etc., when supplementing nutrition, you should not be greasy to prevent diarrhea.

Fruits: When eating fruits, you don’t have to eat cold fruits and vegetables, such as red grapefruit, pear, jujube, tomato, melon, cantaloupe, melon, papaya, red grapefruit, etc.; but you can eat some lychee, longan, apple, strawberry seedlings, cherry, red grapes and other fruits.

2. Mothers with hot constitution

Dishes: For new mothers with a hot body constitution, the nourishing food should not be too hot. You can eat some yam chicken, purple glutinous rice, fish head soup, bone soup, etc.; vegetables can be cucumber, wax gourd, lotus root, etc.; soups can be selected such as papaya and fish body stewed with peanuts, squid and peanuts stewed with lean meat, and tongcao and Beiqi stewed with pig's trotters.

Fresh fruits: You should avoid lychees, longans and dried longans. You can eat a small amount of oranges, strawberry seedlings, cherries, red grapes, etc.

3. Mothers with neutral physical fitness

For new mothers with a neutral physique, the diet is relatively easy to choose, and they can take food therapy and medicine alternately without any special problems. If you experience dry mouth, bitter taste, bad breath, or acne after taking supplements, stop taking the medicine. You can eat some vegetables that reduce heat, or drink pure orange juice or pure fruit juice, but be careful to make sure the temperature of the fruit juice is moist and hot, and do not drink it cold.
