Biparietal diameter at 16 weeks of pregnancy to determine the gender

At 16 weeks of pregnancy, it is already the fourth month of pregnancy. At this time, the expectant mother can judge the gender of the fetus based on various characteristics, but many of the names for judging the gender of the fetus are actually not accurate. In fact, when you are four or five months pregnant, the fetus's genitals can already be seen through B-ultrasound, but the doctor will not tell you.

The baby's gender can be determined by B-ultrasound examination during the 4th to 5th month of pregnancy, based on the condition of the baby's reproductive organs. The results of B-ultrasound examination at 16 weeks of pregnancy should be relatively accurate, but the laws and regulations of our country strictly prohibit the assessment of fetal sex for non-medical purposes.

How to identify the sex of the fetus from ultrasound data? Generally speaking, the data in the B-ultrasound report include biparietal diameter, fetal abdominal circumference, fetal length, gestational sac, fetal heart rate, etc. The embryo, amniotic fluid, fetal umbilical cord, fetal spine, etc. can also be observed from the B-ultrasound. Folklore believes that the gender of the fetus can be determined through B-ultrasound data in the following ways:

1. Look at the gestational sac: Look at the B-ultrasound report of 40-50 days of pregnancy. The size and shape of the gestational sac can tell the gender of the fetus. If the gestational sac is oval or ring-shaped, it is a girl, and if it is long and narrow, it is a boy.

2. Look at the biparietal diameter and femoral length: the biparietal diameter is the transverse diameter of the fetus's head, and the femoral length is the length of the fetus's thigh bone. The older generation says that a boy is born with a shorter head and shorter thighs, that is, biparietal diameter minus femoral length.
