If the pregnancy test shows early, is it a boy?

Recently, after the folk remedies of predicting the gender of the baby, such as the baby's fetal movement method, fetal heart rate, and belly shape, were deciphered, it is now popular on the Internet media to say that if the pregnancy test results are early, the baby is a boy. It is said that the origin of this name is that the sperm of Y men swim faster and implant earlier than X sperm. So, if the pregnancy test is detected early, does it mean it is a boy?

If the pregnancy test shows up early, is it a boy?

When you discover you are pregnant is simply a reflection of the expectant mother's response to changes in her own body. The gender of the fetus is related to the infection of the egg cell with X chromosome or Y chromosome sperm and the charm of the two types of sperm. The claim that the baby born early during pregnancy is a boy is completely without any scientific evidence. In medicine, this method is used to test the sex of the fetus:

1. Check whether there are male Y chromosome DNA fragments in the pregnant woman's blood, which can determine the sex of the fetus at 7 weeks of pregnancy. The focus of the blood test is to find the Y chromosome fragments in the blood of pregnant women. These fragments do not exist in the female body and belong to the growing male embryo. If they are found in the pregnant woman's body, it means the fetus is a boy; otherwise, it is a girl.

2. The most intuitive and accurate way to identify the sex of the fetus is through B-ultrasound examination. Generally, the gender of the fetus can be known by B-ultrasound examination around the fourth month of pregnancy. At the 12th week of pregnancy, the fetal reproductive organs have already developed. At the 16th week, the fetal gender can be determined from the reproductive organs. During the examination, the fetal position should be considered. When the fetal position is better, the judgment is more accurate. Therefore, the fetal gender determination by B-ultrasound is affected by the doctor's experience and fetal position. Prospective parents should note that although B-ultrasound can clearly show every organ and position of the fetus, including sexual organs, the current laws and regulations in my country stipulate that it is a violation of discipline to privately conduct fetal gender identification and assessment through B-ultrasound.

3. Amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling can also be used to identify the sex of the fetus. Amniocentesis is mainly used as an auxiliary test for Down screening and the diagnosis of some genetic diseases. It can detect whether the fetus has abnormalities in the sex chromosomes. The best time to check amniocentesis is between 17 and 21 weeks of pregnancy. However, pregnant mothers should remember that amniocentesis is an invasive test with a 1% risk of miscarriage. Pregnant mothers who do not need to undergo this test should not take this risk, and should not use this method to check the gender of the fetus.
