How to treat severe cervical erosion

How to treat severe cervical erosion

If moderate to severe cervical erosion is not treated promptly, cancer is very likely to occur, so it must be treated as soon as possible after diagnosis.

Partial application of antibiotics may be used. The use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat cervical erosion is relatively common in clinical medicine, and the effect is also very good. It often uses some secret recipes and prescriptions, which are processed into medicated powder or suppositories, placed on cotton wool, and applied to the eroded surface. Generally, the medicine is applied twice a week. During the treatment period, there will be more yellow secretions in the vagina, but it does not need to have an odor. Treatment usually starts after the menstrual period is over, and the medicine is applied continuously for one month, and it is stopped during the menstrual period.

The healing process of cervical erosion is generally divided into two modes. One is that the squamous epithelium around the erosion surface grows toward the columnar subepithelial tissue covering the erosion surface, slowly transforming the columnar epithelial cells, and finally completely replacing the columnar epithelial cells to cover the entire erosion surface. This is the direct covering mode by squamous epithelium. Another way is indirect substitution.

Under normal circumstances, there are a small number of circular cells in the subepithelial tissue of the columnar epithelium, called reserve cells. These cells have a certain ability to proliferate and divide. These reserve cells continue to proliferate and divide into squamous epithelial cells, replacing columnar squamous epithelial cells to cover the entire eroded surface, so that the eroded surface is covered with squamous epithelium again and healed. During the healing process, the squamous epithelium of the newborn is usually scattered in blocks or running in cords on the eroded surface. Because the squamous epithelium of this type of neonate grows over inflammatory tissue, it is very easy to fall off. Once stimulated, erosion will occur again. This repeated repair and shedding is the reason why erosion is difficult to heal.

Moderate to severe cervical erosion

For patients with cervical erosion, regular gynecological examinations are very necessary to prevent malignant transformation into moderate to severe cervical erosion.

The symptoms of patients with moderate to severe cervical erosion will be more leucorrhea, yellow in color, thick in texture and with odor, and the inflammatory secretions will irritate the private parts for a long time and cause itching. The secretions will also vary in color, state, and quality depending on the different bacteria. Therefore, some patients with moderate to severe cervical erosion will have blood in the secretions, and sometimes irregular bleeding and non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina after sexual intercourse, accompanied by symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and inability to hold urine.

In addition, because the cervical lymph nodes are directly connected with the paracervical connective tissue, and the erosion area of moderate to severe cervical erosion is very wide and the infiltration is very deep, the inflammation can spread outside the blood circulation to the pelvis, causing pelvic connective tissue inflammation, which in turn causes pelvic inflammatory disease. At this time, moderate to severe cervical erosion symptoms will also cause lumbar pain, lower abdominal distension and pain, and menstrual pain. According to the difference in personal physical fitness, the degree of moderate to severe cervical erosion symptoms is also different, which is generally aggravated during menstruation, defecation or sexual life.
