How to take pulse to know if you are pregnant

When you are pregnant, you must go to the hospital for early examination. At present, China's prenatal examination technology and equipment are relatively advanced, and the examination results are very accurate. In the past, if you want to know whether you are pregnant, you need to check with traditional Chinese medicine. In my country, traditional Chinese medicine mainly relies on observation, smell, questioning and palpation to diagnose diseases. Palpation means taking the pulse. So how can you determine pregnancy by taking the pulse?

After pregnancy, "slippery pulse" appears, that is, the pulse moves smoothly like beads rolling on a plate. It usually appears around 45 days after menopause. A slippery pulse may occur during pregnancy, but it does not necessarily indicate pregnancy. "A normal person's smooth pulse indicates that his or her Ying and Wei are abundant", that is, a normal person's slippery pulse indicates that he or she has abundant Ying and Wei, which is the main manifestation of physical and mental health.

There are other criteria for judging pregnancy based on slippery pulse: the woman must be married, have had sexual intercourse, had normal menstruation in the past, and has not had menstruation for more than 45 days. She has a typical slippery pulse, a rosy face, fatigue like a fever, swelling of the lower abdomen and breasts, or nausea and retching. Only then did I consider pregnancy.

Women may experience slippery pulse during their menstrual period, within three days before or after menstruation, or in the middle of two menstrual periods, which is the ovulation period. Therefore, pregnancy cannot be determined based on pulse diagnosis alone. In addition, if the woman is pregnant but there is no slippery pulse, it usually means miscarriage or premature birth. Smooth pulse: It feels smooth and round when pressed like a steel ball. It is common in young people with abundant blood. A slippery pulse in a pregnant woman is a sign of abundant blood and qi, which indicates a safe pregnancy. Are all physiological phenomena. If the pulse is fast and smooth, it means pregnancy: put the ring finger, middle thumb of the left hand, ring finger and little finger of the right hand on the wrist of the right hand in order. Generally speaking, the area pressed by the ring finger of the right hand is "Cun", the middle thumb is "Guan", and the ring finger is "Chi". Obviously, it has a meaning of length, the one closest to the palm is "Cun" and the one farther away is "Chi". If you are pregnant, the ring finger, middle thumb and ring finger of your right hand can clearly feel the lightly trembling pulse, and it jumps from "Cun" to "Chi" one after another like a pen moving like a dragon. If the pulse vibration of "Cun" is more obvious than others, then you are pregnant with a boy, otherwise, you are pregnant with a girl.

Stretch the door handle outward and place it naturally (without force) on the table. You will see a protruding bone in the wrist area. On the side of the thumb, place the fingers of the other hand on this protrusion. On the inner edge of the protrusion, you can feel the arterial pulse. This position is called "guan". Closed (fingertip position) is Cun, and closed is Chi.
