2. Mothers who exclusively breastfeed will have their first menstrual period relatively late, usually 4-6 months after giving birth, and many even wait more than a year. Because the breastfeeding mother's body produces a large amount of prolactin, which inhibits the secretion of the pituitary gland, the growth and development of the eggs will be restricted and cannot become perfect oocytes, and the period will be delayed immediately. This is all normal.

For most breastfeeding mothers, since breastfeeding temporarily inhibits the secretion of related hormones in our brain, most of them will not have their periods during breastfeeding, but a very small number of mothers will have their periods during breastfeeding.
