Can I get pregnant if my menstrual period is very light and dark?

When the menstrual cycle is basically normal, but the menstrual flow is significantly reduced, or even just a drop, or the menstrual period is shortened to less than two days and the menstrual flow is also light, it is called "oligomenorrhea". It is a menstrual disease. Oligomenorrhea is often accompanied by mid- to late-term menstruation and weight gain. This disease occurs in puberty and menopause and may develop into amenorrhea, while it occurs in menopause and often enters menopause.

Low menstrual volume refers to a smaller amount of menstruation than usual during menarche, which is mostly caused by deficiency of qi and blood, qi stagnation and blood stasis, blood stasis, cold stagnation in the blood, and phlegm obstruction.

The pathological causes of oligomenorrhea include both deficiency and excess. Deficiency is mostly due to physical weakness, serious illness, long-term illness, excessive blood loss, or diet and fatigue that damages the spleen, or sexual fatigue that damages the kidney, resulting in blood deficiency and scanty menstruation; excess is mostly due to blood stasis, or stagnation of dampness and phlegm, which blocks meridian conduction, obstructs blood circulation, and reduces menstruation.

When the menstrual cycle is basically normal, the menstrual volume is significantly reduced, or even stops with a drop of water, or the menstrual period is shortened to less than two days and the menstrual volume is also light, it is called oligomenorrhea, also known as scanty menstruation. Generally speaking, if the menstrual volume is less than 30ml, it is considered a light menstruation. This disease is often manifested by amenorrhea. Oligomenorrhea can be accompanied by irregularities in the menstrual cycle, such as scant menstrual flow or scant menstrual flow in the middle and late stages of the menstrual cycle.

If the cause of scanty menstruation is contraceptive pills or intramuscular contraceptive injections, the pills should be discontinued and the treatment may refer to the discussion on this disease. The diagnosis of scanty menstruation generally refers to more than two consecutive occurrences. If the bleeding is usually normal but suddenly becomes less, you should pay attention to whether it is a threatened miscarriage in the early pregnancy, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding caused by ectopic pregnancy. Further relevant tests are necessary to distinguish it.

For various reasons, many women have strict requirements on their body shape. Women's menstruation is closely related to weight and body fat rate. In particular, women who have menstrual problems should stop losing weight, improve nutrition, and recover as soon as possible.
