My belly is itchy in late pregnancy. Is it time to give birth soon?

Some pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy expressed that their stomachs were itchy and they wanted to scratch them, but they were afraid and it was very painful. So, what causes an itchy belly during late pregnancy?

1. Longer stretch marks

Stretch marks are a common condition during pregnancy, often appearing in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. Some mothers also develop stretch marks in the late stages of pregnancy or a few weeks before delivery. Before stretch marks appear, the expectant mother's belly will experience itching, so the expectant mother must do a good job of prevention in the early stage.

2 The skin is too good

During pregnancy, pregnant mothers are overly tired and do not take good care of their skin, which causes the skin on their abdomen to become worse and dry, and itching will occur at this time. Therefore, pregnant mothers should drink more water to ensure the body's daily water needs. At the same time, they can use some pregnancy lotion to moisturize and hydrate the skin.

3 External irritation

Human skin is divided into sensitive and insensitive skin. The skin of some pregnant women belongs to the sensitive skin. Therefore, if they dress incorrectly, it will cause certain irritation to their skin, especially the protruding belly, and cause belly itching. Therefore, pregnant mothers are advised to wear some cotton and non-irritating clothes.

4 Pregnancy Symptoms

Abdominal itching in the late pregnancy may also be the main manifestation of some pregnancy diseases, such as pregnancy cholestasis syndrome, pregnancy skin disease, pregnancy rash, pregnancy toxic skin rash, eczema, etc. Such things should be treated with medication as soon as possible.
