Normal range of cervical cell DNA

Normal range of cervical cell DNA

Cells are an important part of our body. Cells in different parts of the body have different functions. Cervical cells have different meanings to women's health. It is best for women to go to the hospital for regular check-ups, especially cervical screening. Once abnormal results are found, they can be adjusted and treated in time. Cervical cell DNA testing is a screening project for cervical cancer, which is of certain significance in determining whether women have cervical disease.

Normal range of cervical cell DNA

Cervical cell DNA examination is also a project for cervical precancer screening. The normal reference value range is less than 1. If it exceeds the range, it means that the normal cells have degenerated or are related to inflammation. Active intervention is needed in the later stage, and treatment should be reviewed regularly. Negative means it is within the normal range, which means the possibility of developing cervical precancerous lesions or cervical cancer in the near future is relatively small. If the hpvDNA value is high, especially greater than 2.5, it is recommended to combine it with a colposcopy. If obvious local atypical blood vessels are found, a cervical tissue pathology examination is needed to accurately determine the extent and nature of the disease, and then carry out targeted treatment.

What are cervical cells

Endocervical cells are pathogenic cells of the cervical canal. Almost everyone has these cells, and their number indicates whether a person's cervix is normal or not.

Metaplastic cells, strictly speaking, are "cells of squamous metaplasia". "Squamous metaplastic cells" means that when the cervix is inflamed, the squamous epithelium can extend to the lower third or higher of the cervical canal; during the healing process of cervical erosion, cells may proliferate under the columnar epithelium and differentiate into squamous epithelium. This change is called squamous metaplasia, and the cells that induce metaplasia are "metaplastic cells." Metaplastic cells are a type of cell that appears when cervical inflammation recovers and have the function of repairing cervical erosion surfaces. Generally, women with normal cervix do not have metaplastic cells.

Principle of cervical cell DNA detection method

The cervical scraping is to put the secretions into a specimen bottle and use the Papanicolaou staining method to obtain cell information. This method obtains an incomplete number of cells and the preparation is relatively crude.

Thin-layer liquid-based cytology smear examination is performed by vortexing the specimen to form a density gradient and using a specialized instrument to form a circle of cells about 12.5 mm in diameter on a glass slide. This method can produce a good near-monolayer of cells without blood and mucus background, which can more accurately identify cellular components.

Physical examination notes:

1. Please eat a light diet, avoid drinking alcohol and overwork the day before the physical examination. Please fast on the day of the physical examination.

2. Make sure to get enough rest the day before the physical examination and do not eat after 8 pm. Avoid strenuous exercise and emotional excitement, and ensure adequate sleep to avoid affecting the physical examination results.
