How is vulvar eczema caused?

Eczema is a common skin disease in clinical practice. Many people suffer from eczema due to allergies, and the sites of eczema are also varied. In addition to eczema on the face or body surface, some people also have eczema on the vulva, which is also commonly referred to as vulvar eczema in clinical practice. This can have a relatively large impact on women's lives. So how does vulvar eczema get caused?

1. There are many causes of vulvar eczema, such as allergies, local irritation, and endocrine disorders. Vulvar eczema is a skin disease that is prone to recurring. The clinical symptoms are severe itching. Allergy is the main cause of eczema. Allergens include exogenous allergens such as cosmetics, dyes and paints, fish and shrimp, milk, plant pollen, etc., and may also be endogenous allergens such as intestinal parasites and the body's own metabolic products. Increased vaginal secretions and local irritation from wearing tight synthetic underwear may also cause vulvar eczema. Endocrine disorders caused by mental stress can also cause vulvar eczema. Active treatment is required, try to isolate allergens, reduce adverse stimulation to the vulva, and use Jinsong antipruritic wash to relieve itching when it is unbearable.

2. Vulvar eczema is closely related to the local humid and stuffy environment of the perineum and friction stimulation. Allergy to sanitary napkins is also a common cause in some female patients. Of course, the patient's allergic constitution also has a great impact on the onset of the disease. Often, if patients do not get enough rest and repeatedly scratch, the condition may worsen. For treatment, the local area should be kept ventilated and breathable. Anti-allergic drugs can be taken orally, such as loratadine or cetirizine. Weak hormone ointments can be used locally, such as desonide cream. In daily life, we should avoid spicy food, avoid sitting for long periods of time, and avoid scratching.

3. External allergens, such as cosmetics, dyes, radiation, chemicals, sometimes toxins from certain animals, foreign proteins from milk, fish and shrimp, pollen from certain plants, and dust in the air. When the vulva of the human body comes into contact with these, it is easy to cause eczema. Local irritation, such as increased vaginal discharge, urinary fistula, and scratching, can cause vulvar eczema.
