Can pregnancy be detected if the fertilized egg has not implanted?

As we all know, a woman’s pregnancy can usually be detected through a test strip within a few days, which is normal. Of course, pregnancy is confirmed after the embryo implants. So, can pregnancy be detected if the sperm and egg combine but there is no embryo implantation? Today I will introduce it to you.

Can pregnancy be detected if the sperm and egg combine but no embryo implants?

No. If the menstrual cycle is regular and you have normal sexual life, you can test whether you are pregnant 10 days after having sex or if your period is less than 7-10 days late. After the sperm and egg combine to form a sperm-egg combination, the embryo implants in the uterine wall about 6 to 8 days after fertilization, and the blastocyst produces trophoblast cells. Then 7 to 10 days later, the embryo begins to secrete HCG which can enter the urine. The sum of the two is the scientific method to test whether the pregnancy is confirmed from the urine 18 days after intercourse.

Sexual intercourse starts with seven days, but the amount of HCG secreted is very small. Generally, pregnancy can be detected in about fourteen days, and rarely in more than twenty days. Testing HCG in the blood or urine of pregnant women can be used as an accurate indicator for diagnosing the early stages of pregnancy. You can use test strips yourself or have HCG testing at the hospital.

The feeling of sperm and egg combining with the bed:

1. Feeling nauseous and wanting to vomit. Some people begin to suffer from morning sickness in the first few weeks after pregnancy. You may feel nauseous or vomiting, and although morning sickness is also called morning sickness, nausea and vomiting are not limited to the morning. You may feel nauseous all day and all night long.

2. The breasts become softer. If your breasts feel tender, soft, and swollen, you may be pregnant. This type of symptom may appear in the first few days after pregnancy. If you've suddenly lost sight of your breasts, you may be pregnant. Don't worry! After your body absorbs a large amount of testosterone, this pain will disappear and your breasts will no longer feel uncomfortable.

3. Feeling tired. A lot of metabolism of luteinizing hormone (a male hormone) can make you feel exhausted. Almost all pregnant women suffer from this symptom, and you can observe other symptoms to confirm your suspicions.

4. Going to the toilet frequently. After the sperm and egg combine and implant in the endometrium, they begin to secrete human gonadotropin (hCG). This will stimulate you to urinate more often, so you may pee more often than before.

5. Bleeding or muscle spasm. Eight days after ovulation and implantation, you may develop light pink or dark brown stains, and cramps may accompany these conditions. In fact, during the menstrual period, there may be some spotting and bleeding, but this is not a true menstrual period. It is the result of the fusion of sperm and egg and the implantation of the embryo in the uterine wall.

What is the cause of embryo implantation bleeding?

Embryo implantation occurs approximately 6 days after fertilization. At this time, most pregnant women do not have very obvious reactions. A very small number of women will discharge some bright red or light pink blood, which is called implantation bleeding. Not everyone has this symptom, so it is not an obvious sign of pregnancy.

Implantation bleeding occurs about 7 days after pregnancy. If it is 7 to 10 days away from ovulation, then it can be suspected that the embryo has implanted. You can go to the hospital for examination. If it is more than 12 days away from ovulation, it may be menarche.

There will be no bleeding when the embryo implants normally. If the woman is in her ovulation period during sexual intercourse and the man has good sperm motility, pregnancy can usually be achieved within 24-48 hours. The woman will not feel anything when the embryo implants, and only a small number of people will bleed a small amount when the embryo implants due to physiological and physical problems.

Implantation bleeding is a type of abnormal uterine bleeding (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) due to imbalanced function. Because a pregnant woman has an egg that slowly grows and matures in each menstrual cycle, the body's estrogen level also slowly rises. When the mature follicle ruptures and ovulates, the body's estrogen level drops sharply, and it can no longer maintain the growth of the uterine wall, causing partial necrosis and peeling of the uterine wall, which manifests as vaginal bleeding. After ovulation, the egg quickly produces progesterone, and the lutein secretes a certain amount of estrogen and estrogens, which quickly repair the ruptured uterine wall, so the bleeding will automatically stop.
