The main reasons for no fetal heartbeat

When there is no fetal heartbeat, you need to do regular prenatal checkups to ensure that the fetus in the abdomen is growing smoothly and there is no shock or hypoxia reaction, because these reactions will cause fetal death or cause complications. Either phenomenon will have a great impact on the normal development of the fetus in the future. You should try your best to find the real reason for the absence of fetal heartbeat.

If the fetal heart rate remains below 10°C for more than 10 minutes or is >160°C, it indicates that the fetal heart rate is abnormal. If the fetal heart rate is 10 to 20 times per minute or >160 beats/minute, repeat the listening process every 10 to 20 minutes. If it is still abnormal, it indicates fetal intrauterine hypoxia. If the fetal heart rate is within the abnormal range and is accompanied by irregular fetal heart rhythm, it indicates that fetal hypoxia is more serious.

If the fetal heartbeat unfortunately stops, the expectant mother should not be discouraged. The survival of the fittest among embryos has its reasons. The best way to deal with it is for expectant mothers to adjust their physical and mental state as soon as possible and be prepared to welcome the baby again.

Expectant mothers with regular menstrual cycles can hear the fetal heartbeat at around 8 weeks of pregnancy. It can be measured through instruments. Currently, the more commonly used instrument is the Doppler high-sensitivity instrument, which can monitor the fetal heartbeat like the sound of horse hooves. However, some hospitals may use a regular stethoscope, in which case the fetal heartbeat cannot be tracked until 17-18 weeks.

Finding the fetal heart position is the most difficult part of the entire Doppler fetal heart rate home monitoring, but it is also an important part of determining whether the monitoring is successful. Before using it for the first time, open the battery cover of the fetal heart rate monitor and install the battery.

You can plug the headphones into the headphone jack of the host, or listen directly.

Press the probe against the abdominal wall with a little gentle force. Do not just lightly touch the belly. This will prevent air from accumulating between the probe and the belly and cause noise, and will allow for better signal reception. The easiest way to find the fetal heart rate is to refer to the position where the doctor places the probe during a fetal heart rate check in the hospital. This is the fetal heart rate position. You will be able to hear the crisp "puff", "puff", "puff"... sounds of the fetal heartbeat. Generally, you listen for 1-2 minutes each time and count the number of fetal heartbeats in 1 minute. 120-160 beats/minute is the normal range.

If the doctor asks you to listen to the fetal heart position but you still can't hear it, the expectant mother can slowly move the probe to a nearby position. The pattern of the fetal heart position is as follows: Because the position of the fetus in the uterus changes, the fetal heart position is not fixed. There are a few rules to know:

(A) Before 6 months, the fetal heart is usually located in the middle or on both sides of the midline of the abdomen below the umbilicus.

(B) At 6 to 8 months, as the fetus grows, the position of the fetal heart will move upward. Since fetal movement usually involves the movement of the fetus's hands and feet, when you feel frequent fetal movements on the right side, the fetal heart rate is generally on the left side; when you feel frequent fetal movements on the left side, the fetal heart rate is generally on the right side.
