Breast cancer stage IIa

Breast cancer stage IIa

Stage 2 breast cancer is a relatively serious stage. At this stage, the breast cancer is already relatively large. You can clearly feel the lump in the breast, and there will be pain when pressing the breast. Therefore, patients with stage 2 breast cancer should undergo surgery to remove the tumor in time, and then take good care of their breasts and adjust their diet in daily life. For specific treatment methods, please see below.

1. Is stage 2 breast cancer serious?

When breast cancer enters stage 2, it means that the breast cancer is more serious. Stage 2A breast cancer refers to a tumor less than 2 cm with lymph node infiltration or a tumor greater than 2 cm and less than 5 cm with no lymph node infiltration. Stage 2B breast cancer: refers to a tumor that is larger than 5 cm and the cancerous tumor has not yet infiltrated the axillary lymph nodes, or a tumor that is larger than 2 cm and smaller than 5 cm and is accompanied by lymph node infiltration. The preferred method for stage II breast cancer is surgery. Many patients think that a successful one-time surgery will solve all problems, but this is not the case. Even after surgery, female patients must persist in treatment and cannot stop.

2. What is the cure rate for stage II and III breast cancer?

Breast cancer is divided into several stages, among which the cure rate of stage II and III breast cancer is highly concerned. Many friends have early symptoms of breast cancer, but due to lack of knowledge, the disease is delayed and diagnosed in stage II and III. So what is the cure rate of stage II and III breast cancer? In detail, breast cancer is divided into four stages, stage I is the earliest stage, and so on, stage IV breast cancer is the late stage. Breast cancer is discovered and treated at the same time, and its cure rate is about 95%. The cure rate of stage II breast cancer is about 75%, the cure rate of stage III breast cancer is about 65%, and the cure rate of stage IV breast cancer is less than 10%. Stage I breast cancer has the highest cure rate (about 95% cure rate). Breast cancer is usually divided into four stages. Stage I refers to the presence of corresponding lumps in the breast and cancer cells, but the cancer cells have not expanded and are less than 2 cm in size. The cure rate is exceptionally high at this time. Usually, if breast cancer is discovered early and treated accordingly, there is generally no major problem.

3. Is the cure rate of early breast cancer high?

It is reported that early detection and early reasonable treatment of breast cancer can greatly prolong the patient's survival. The 5-year survival rate of patients with stage I breast cancer can reach 93%, and the 5-year survival rate of patients with stage II breast cancer can reach 81%. In fact, most patients with early breast cancer can be completely cured. Early detection, timely surgery, optimized treatment plans, and attention to the patient's physical and mental health are all factors that help the patient ultimately recover.

Molybdenum palladium, B-ultrasound, MRI, etc. can all help detect breast cancer early. The treatment of breast cancer places more emphasis on reducing damage to the female body, and targeted therapy is being increasingly used in the clinical treatment of breast cancer patients.

What are the dangers of breast cancer?

1. Breast cancer patients may develop "tumor cachexia syndrome due to loss of appetite" in the middle and late stages. Loss of appetite is both the cause and clinical manifestation of cachexia. Symptoms such as loss of appetite, anorexia, weight loss, fatigue, anemia and fever may occur, and in severe cases, it may be life-threatening.

2. In the late stage of breast cancer, lymph node metastasis may occur, the ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes will swell, and the number of swollen lymph nodes will continue to increase, and they will adhere to each other into clumps. A small number of patients may have contralateral axillary lymph node metastasis. In the later stages of breast cancer, distant metastasis may occur. Breast cancer may metastasize to the lungs, causing symptoms such as chest pain, pleural effusion, and shortness of breath. Spinal metastasis may cause severe pain in the affected area or even paraplegia, while liver metastasis may cause jaundice, liver enlargement, etc.

3. A small number of breast cancer patients may experience varying degrees of tenderness or nipple discharge in the early stages. Breast cancer tumors grow rapidly. The breast may have "orange peel-like" changes, with the skin on the surface of the tumor becoming sunken, the nipple leaning toward the direction of the tumor, and the nipple becoming inverted. In the late stages of breast cancer, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis may cause a series of other symptoms.
