Ovulation test paper positive before menstruation

Women use ovulation test strips to check the time before menstruation. If the test result is strongly positive, it means that they are in the ovulation period. The chance of conception during this stage is relatively high. If the test result is strongly positive for a week in a row, it is usually because of pregnancy. At this time, women need to pay attention to whether their menstruation will come. If you want to confirm whether you are pregnant, you can go to the hospital for a blood test.

What does a positive ovulation test before menstruation mean?

Generally speaking, if the lines on the ovulation test paper continue to darken for more than a week, it can be considered that you are pregnant. Of course, if you can test positive or strongly positive at this time, then you must be pregnant. At this time, female friends can do urine or blood tests to check whether they are pregnant if they have not had their menstruation for more than a week.

But there is another aspect to everything. If the color of the ovulation test paper becomes darker only because other reasons have delayed the woman's ovulation, resulting in delayed menstruation, this is also a common condition, such as high psychological pressure and excessive fatigue. Finally, there is another situation that may cause the test paper to darken in color. That is, the test paper is affected by other external factors, resulting in some errors. This is also inevitable.

Before a woman ovulates, the body will begin to secrete LH, but the LH value will only reach its highest on the day of ovulation. Therefore, measuring the highest LH value can determine when the actual ovulation day is. Once ovulation is confirmed, the possibility of pregnancy is very high if AA is performed within 24 hours.

Generally speaking, women release an egg every month, which is in the middle of two menstrual periods. Ovulation will cause the luteinizing hormone (LH) in human urine to increase. Ovulation test strips determine whether ovulation has occurred by measuring LH.

The test paper is positive, but there is no dominant follicle?

The ovulation test paper shows a strong positive result. Doesn't the follicle develop well? Why is there no dominant follicle? (The dominant follicle refers to the follicle that is larger than 10mm and less than 18mm on ultrasound.) The answer may be the following:

1. Ovulation has occurred.

2. LH rises, but the follicles do not develop normally or develop incompletely. Because the ovulation test strip measures LH, a strong positive result actually only represents the LH level and does not directly represent the development of the follicles. If the LH level is high but the follicles are poorly developed, a "false positive" may occur. A small reminder is that the LH level has the curve changes mentioned above, but it cannot fully represent the development of the follicles.

3. The test paper is not suitable. In the middle of the menstrual cycle, the secretion of LH hormone increases rapidly and then forms a peak, stimulating the release of mature eggs in the ovaries. Even if there is no dominant follicle, LH also rises. Therefore, if the sisters themselves have higher LH levels, or the selected test paper is more "sensitive", then even if there is no dominant follicle, the test result is likely to be positive.

Ovulation test strips are designed for the LH levels of most women and are not absolutely suitable for everyone. Some sisters' LH levels may be higher than the level targeted by a certain test paper, so if the ovulation test paper is always strongly positive or weakly positive, then sisters should consider changing to another test paper, or try several more for reference.

4. Improper operation. In addition to the operations during the testing process, this also includes the use of expired or substandard test papers.
