Leucorrhea with a small amount of pus cells

Although leucorrhea is a normal secretion of the female vagina, routine examination of leucorrhea is also essential in many gynecological examinations, especially the detection of some diseases also needs to be judged in combination with the results of routine examination of leucorrhea. When you do routine examination of leucorrhea now, if the test results show that there are a small amount of pus cells in the leucorrhea, you need to pay attention to it. So what does it mean when there are a small amount of pus cells in the leucorrhea?

1. When testing leucorrhea, pus cells appear, which is mostly caused by bacterial vaginosis. The main causes of this type of vaginitis are frequent sexual intercourse, multiple sexual partners, wearing non-breathable underwear, and lack of hygiene during normal sexual intercourse, which can easily lead to bacterial vaginitis. It is best to do a bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test of the leucorrhea, and use medication according to the results of the drug sensitivity test, and you will get better soon. This bad habit must be changed in daily life. Both men and women need to clean the vulva before and after sexual intercourse, wear pure cotton and breathable underwear, and it is normal to have sexual intercourse 2-3 times a week. You can also take metronidazole or clindamycin orally, which are quite effective in treating bacterial vaginosis.

2. If pus cells (++) are found in routine leucorrhea tests, it means that there is a mild inflammation in the reproductive tract, but there is no way to determine which pathogen has caused the inflammation. It is necessary to combine the medical history to understand whether the vaginal mucosa and cervical mucosa have inflammatory manifestations such as congestion and edema. In addition, it is also necessary to understand whether there are abnormal growths in the local area, and then give appropriate treatment based on the medical history. In this case, it is best to use bisoprolol suppositories inserted into the vagina. Bisoprolol suppositories can treat bacterial vaginosis, miscellaneous bacterial infections, and candidal vaginitis. Therefore, it is recommended to take the medicine continuously for one week. After stopping the medicine, go to the hospital to check the routine leucorrhea 3-7 days later. You should not have sexual intercourse during the medication period.

3. Pus cells in leucorrhea are abnormal cells seen during routine examination of leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea generally contains a large number of epithelial cells, with no pus cells or only a small number of pus cells occasionally present. Pus cells were detected in the leucorrhea, indicating that the patient may suffer from gynecological inflammatory diseases such as vaginitis and cervicitis. Purulent leucorrhea can be seen in gynecological inflammatory diseases such as Trichomonas vaginitis, bacterial vaginitis, and cervicitis and endometritis caused by bacterial infection. It requires a comprehensive analysis of clinical symptoms and other examination results, and systematic treatment should be carried out after a clear diagnosis. In daily life, you should pay attention to developing good hygiene habits, wash the vulva area every day, change your underwear, and keep the vulva clean.
