Pregnancy week leucorrhea changes

Pregnancy week leucorrhea changes

One week of pregnancy is considered the early stages of pregnancy. On the surface, a woman's body does not appear to undergo much change during this period. In fact, the female reproductive organs and vagina may secrete fluid, which is leucorrhea. This kind of leucorrhea is normal. It promotes vaginal health and keeps the vagina in a moist environment. Therefore, under normal circumstances, women's leucorrhea will increase compared to usual in the early stages of pregnancy, but generally there will not be a major change.

Leucorrhea is female vaginal discharge, which refers specifically to the discharge liquid mixed with mucus and exudate secreted from various parts of the female reproductive organs. When you are in good health, there is very little leucorrhea, which is sticky and has no odor. It can keep the vagina moist for a long time and help maintain vaginal health.

After pregnancy, the corpus luteum of the ovary secretes a large amount of estrogen and progesterone to maintain the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. After 12 weeks, the placenta is formed, which gradually replaces the corpus luteum and continues to synthesize large amounts of estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, the pregnant woman's body always maintains a high estrogen and progesterone state.

As a result, estrogen and progesterone-dependent cells undergo significant changes: the vulvar tissue becomes soft and moist, the vaginal epithelium thickens, the blood vessels become congested, the exudate and desquamated cells increase, the cervix becomes enlarged, soft and congested, and the glandular secretion becomes vigorous. The secretions of the cervical glands, vaginal exudate and exfoliated cells mix together to form leucorrhea, which will be continuously discharged from the body during pregnancy, leading to an increase in leucorrhea. Therefore, there is no change in leucorrhea during the first week of pregnancy.

However, if the vagina itches, the leucorrhea has an odor, or the leucorrhea is abnormal: colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea, white or grayish yellow foamy leucorrhea, curd-like leucorrhea, watery leucorrhea, etc., you should seek medical attention immediately. The formation of leucorrhea is closely related to estrogen. When the secretion of estrogen reaches its peak, the leucorrhea will be abundant and transparent. It will be sticky like egg white and can be pulled into threads.

There are many physiological reactions in early pregnancy, such as morning sickness and poor appetite, but if expectant mothers treat them with a normal mind and maintain a relaxed and happy mood, they can reduce the occurrence of adverse early pregnancy phenomena.
