How much bleeding did you get during early pregnancy?

A few drops of bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy may be a symptom of congenital miscarriage, or it may be caused by diseases such as cervical lesions and ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy needs to be taken seriously. Bleeding in early pregnancy requires pregnant women to take measures to protect the fetus and check the development of the fetus to avoid miscarriage. Let’s learn about the causes of bleeding in early pregnancy.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo implantation is unstable. Miscarriage may occur when the mother suffers from chronic diseases or congenital or acquired uterine developmental abnormalities, immune system problems, viral infections, or due to excessive work, excessive stress, too intense sexual life, external impact, improper use of medication, etc. When a mother has a miscarriage, vaginal bleeding symptoms may occur.

There are three main reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy:

1. Cervical lesions

If a pregnant woman has cervical lesions before pregnancy, resulting in erosion, or already has cervical polyps, then after pregnancy, it is very likely that the surface capillaries will rupture and bleed due to hormonal changes. Therefore, when a pregnant woman has symptoms of vaginal bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy, a cervical examination should be performed.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy can also cause bleeding in early pregnancy because the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus and cannot provide the embryo with sufficient nutrients, causing the gradually developing fertilized egg to expand the fallopian tube wall and cause the tube wall to rupture. Bleeding caused by ectopic pregnancy usually occurs during the 7th to 8th week of pregnancy, accompanied by severe abdominal pain or massive intra-abdominal bleeding.

3. Hydatidiform mole

Pregnant women with hydatidiform mole may also experience pregnancy bleeding, accompanied by severe morning sickness or palpitations. Women who are younger than 20 or older than 35, who have a history of miscarriage or hydatidiform mole, etc. should be careful about whether they may get pregnant with hydatidiform mole again.
