Since menstruation may not have fully resumed, safe period contraception is ineffective. 4. The episiotomy wound will generally heal within two weeks after delivery. Because sexual intercourse will not cause a normally healed wound to reopen. However, when starting sexual life after delivery, the husband's movements should be gentle and mild, not too rough.

5. Women who have undergone cesarean section should wait for 3 months after delivery before resuming sexual intercourse. In addition to the abdominal incision during a cesarean section, the wound on the uterus must also heal. The recovery time required is longer than that of women who give birth naturally. The husband's violent movements during sexual intercourse may also cause pain in the wound. It is particularly important to implement reliable contraceptive measures, because once you become pregnant, the newly healed uterine incision may be punctured during the abortion, which would be very dangerous.
