How to check for polycystic ovary syndrome?

Examination method 1: B-ultrasound: Symmetrical enlargement of the bilateral ovaries may be seen, and there may be multiple small cysts in the ovaries, with different sizes and a diameter of 2 to 6 mm, mainly around the ovarian cortex.

Examination method 2: Ultrasound examination: bilateral ovaries are multicystic and enlarged, the capsule is thickened and the echo is enhanced, and a large number of cystic follicles with a diameter of 2 to 7 mm can be seen under the capsule. During the examination of polycystic ovary, if the ovarian stroma has uneven echogenicity and the endometrium is thickened, uterine and ovarian tumors and adrenal lesions should be excluded.

Examination method three: Hormone measurement: LH and FSH are abnormal, FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) is at a low level, LH (luteinizing hormone) is high, forming LH/FSH ≥ 2~3, and androgen (T) levels are increased. Endometrial biopsy, a scraping of the endometrium before or during menstruation, shows anovulatory proliferative endometrium or endometrial hyperplasia.

Examination method 4: Laparoscopic examination: Through this examination method for polycystic ovary, it can be seen that the bilateral ovaries are polycystic and enlarged, and the capsule is thickened and grayish white.
