The vaginal discharge is mostly watery

In addition to menstruation, women also have leucorrhea every month, but the state of the leucorrhea is different. Some people have inflammation or other infection problems in the body, which will cause water-like secretions from the lower body. In addition to perfume, you should also see if there is any smell. However, most of the secretions with the smell of purulent infection or rotten smell are caused by inflammation, because normal secretions should be transparent, but have a certain degree of stickiness and no odor.

abnormal

1. Purulent leucorrhea: The leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green in color, pus-like, and has a foul odor. It is usually caused by infection, and is common in Trichomonas vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, vaginitis, endometritis, etc.

2. Colorless, transparent, mucous leucorrhea: The appearance is similar to the normal leucorrhea during the ovulation period, with a large amount, and is commonly seen after the use of estrogen drugs.

3. Bloody leucorrhea: If the leucorrhea is stained with blood, you should be alert to malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and uterine cancer. Benign lesions such as cervical polyps, severe chronic cervicitis, intrauterine contraceptive devices, senile vaginitis, and submucosal uterine fibroids may also have this symptom.

4. Tofu-like leucorrhea: It is a characteristic of candidal vaginitis. 5. Yellow watery leucorrhea: mostly caused by necrosis of diseased tissue, commonly seen in cervical cancer, submucosal uterine fibroids, fallopian tube cancer, etc. 6. Purulent and bloody leucorrhea: a characteristic of amoebic vaginitis.

Routine inspection items for leucorrhea

pH value: After puberty, due to the stimulation of ovarian sex hormones, the mucosal epithelial cells contain rich animal starch, which is decomposed by vaginal lactobacilli into lactic acid, making the vaginal secretions weakly acidic, which can prevent pathogenic bacteria from multiplying in the vagina. This is the self-cleaning function of the vagina. The pH value is often used to indicate the acidity and alkalinity in laboratory tests. The normal pH is 4.5. When suffering from trichomoniasis or bacterial vaginitis, the pH value of leucorrhea increases and may be greater than 5-6.
