Women will experience amenorrhea when they reach a certain age, which also means that they are too old and their fertility has decreased or disappeared. Everyone's physical constitution is different, so the age of amenorrhea is also different. Of course, the older you are, the more beneficial it is to have amenorrhea. In addition to normal amenorrhea, what does it mean for women to have amenorrhea due to blood stasis? It refers to a situation in which women experience qi stagnation and blood stasis, which results in irregular menstruation. 1. Blood-related amenorrhea in traditional Chinese medicine refers to amenorrhea caused by qi stagnation, cold coagulation, and blood stasis blocking the Chong and Ren meridians. After becoming ill, menstruation has stopped and there is pain in the lower abdomen that cannot be pressed. In traditional Chinese medicine, blood and amenorrhea mainly include two types: qi stagnation and blood stasis, and cold stagnation and blood stasis. There are certain differences in the performance of these two types. For example, Qi stagnation and blood stasis manifests itself in the patient's sudden cessation of menstruation, or absence of menstruation for several months after she loses her temper, especially after a fit of rage, or after a long period of worry. The main symptoms are sallow complexion, swelling and pain in the lower abdomen, chest and ribs, and breasts, and a greenish-yellow complexion. There may also be symptoms such as headache, depression, insomnia, irritability, decreased appetite, and petechiae or ecchymosis on the edge of the tongue. 2. Cold stagnation and blood stasis is another manifestation of amenorrhea. This type of patient will experience cessation of menstruation, followed by symptoms such as chest tightness, nausea, cold pain in the lower abdomen, cold limbs, bluish complexion, increased vaginal discharge, dark tongue, ecchymosis on the edge of the tongue, and thin white tongue coating. For such patients, Chinese medicine often uses mugwort leaves, eggs, and ginger to put them in a pot together. After the eggs are cooked, remove the shells and cook for a while. Add appropriate amount of edible salt, remove from the pot and let cool. Take it once a day and take it 5 to 6 times a month for conditioning. The above is an introduction to what female amenorrhea means. In fact, traditional Chinese medicine’s explanation of amenorrhea is very superficial. Modern medicine has a very rich understanding of amenorrhea. Patients are advised to go to the hospital for examination. For example, a uterine examination can determine whether there are adhesions, uterine malformations, abnormal uterine morphology, etc. Through ovarian examination, we can understand the level of estrogen, progesterone and ovarian function. Through pituitary examination, we can check whether the levels of various hormones related to menstruation are normal, and we can check the excitability of the pituitary gland, etc. |
