Does the cervical cancer vaccine require a physical examination?

There are many questions about whether they need to go to the hospital outpatient department for corresponding examinations before and after the injection of cervical cancer vaccine. Most people are only half-understood. Before getting the cervical cancer vaccine, you need to do the following two checks:

1. Cervical cancer washing label test (TCT is currently recommended). Since there are no symptoms of cervical cancer in the morning, you can check whether there is cervical inflammation or cervical disease. The cost of TCT testing is around 100 yuan.

2. HPV virus DNA test can partially detect whether someone is infected with high-risk HPV16 and HPV18 viruses. If cervical cancer or these two virus infections are found, it is recommended not to get the cervical cancer vaccine temporarily, as it will affect the effectiveness of the vaccine. If you have cervical cancer, treat it first, and then get the cervical cancer vaccine after your condition improves; if you are infected with HPV16 and HPV18 viruses, the vaccination plan can be delayed for one year, because the virus infection usually disappears on its own after September.

After cervical cancer vaccination

The cervical cancer vaccine is not a permanent solution. There are more than 10 types of HPV viruses that cause cervical cancer, and the cervical cancer vaccine cannot cover all of them. If the body is infected with other HPV viruses, it is also likely to cause cervical cancer. Therefore, even if you have been vaccinated against cervical cancer, you still need to go to the hospital regularly for the above two tests.

No other inspection is required

80% of people have been infected with HPV virus in their lives. Most of them can eliminate it by themselves through immunity. However, some people may eventually develop symptoms, which is the value of the vaccine.

The reasons why no inspection is required are:

1. If there is no problem after the examination, you still need to get the vaccine;

2. If you are found to be infected with a certain HPV subtype, you should get vaccinated immediately, because if you are infected with a certain subtype, the probability of disease is higher than others, and you need to get vaccinated immediately to prevent the continuation and cross infection of other high-risk virus infections, so as to avoid the eventual illness; in addition, if you are simply infected with the HPV virus, it can be eliminated through your own immune system, and there is currently no medicine that can cure it. If you are found to be infected, you need to get vaccinated immediately!
