What is the normal range of body fat percentage for girls?

Generally speaking, the normal body fat percentage range for girls is 25%-28%, which is slightly higher than that for men. However, if girls want to have a perfect figure, their body fat percentage should be controlled below 20%.

Body fat rate refers to the proportion of body fat weight in the total body weight, also known as body fat percentage, which reflects the amount of fat in the human body. A person who weighs 50 kg and has a body fat percentage of 30% has a full 15 kg of fat in his body. Because fat has a large volume, even if the height and weight are the same, he will look fatter than a person with a lower body fat percentage! Therefore, when losing weight, the importance of body fat percentage is definitely no less than weight!

If the body fat percentage is too high and the weight exceeds the normal value by more than 20%, it can be considered obese. Obesity indicates lack of exercise, overnutrition or some endocrine system disease, and is often complicated by hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis, coronary heart disease, diabetes, cholecystitis and other diseases; if the body fat percentage is too low, below the safe lower limit of body fat content, that is, 5% for men and 13%~15% for women, it may cause functional disorders. Moreover, too little fat can cause osteoporosis. The lack of fat in the body leads to insufficient estrogen levels, which affects the binding of calcium to bones and makes it impossible to maintain normal bone density. Therefore, osteoporosis and fractures are likely to occur.

How much body fat percentage can a girl have to have visible abdominal muscles?

Girls' body fat percentage must be below 20% to show their abdominal muscles.

If you do not reduce your body fat percentage, there will be too much abdominal fat. Even if you develop abdominal muscles, the outline of the abdominal muscles will not be visible due to the excess fat. Therefore, if you want to develop abdominal muscles, the body fat percentage for men must be at least lower than 15%, and for women lower than 20%, so that the abdominal muscle lines can be vaguely visible. If you want to develop clearly defined abdominal muscles, men must reduce their body fat to below 12%, and women to below 17%.

20%~22% The fat in various parts of the body does not relax, the abdominal muscles begin to show, and the blocks are not obvious.

23%~25% The fat in various parts of the body is basically not loose and the abdominal muscles are not visible.

26%~28% of the fat in all parts of the body is noticeably loose in the waist and abdomen, and the abdominal muscles are not visible.

29%~31% The abdominal muscles are not visible and the waist circumference is usually 81~85 cm.

32%~34% The abdominal muscles are not visible and the waist circumference is usually 86~90 cm.

35%~37% The abdominal muscles are not visible and the waist circumference is usually 91~95 cm.

38%~40% The abdominal muscles are not visible and the waist circumference is usually 96~100 cm.

More than 41% have no visible abdominal muscles and their waist circumference is usually more than 101 cm.
