What is the cause of vaginal body odor?

We all know that body odor usually appears in the armpits because the sweat glands in the armpits are more developed. When sweat combines with various bacteria, it emits a very pungent smell. In fact, people still have some misunderstandings about body odor, because in addition to the armpits, other parts of the body with apocrine glands will also emit body odor after sweating. So, what is the cause of vaginal odor?

If your vaginal discharge has an odor during sexual intercourse. It means that it is caused by gynecological inflammation, such as cervicitis, vaginitis or vulvitis. You should pay attention to menstrual hygiene and sexual hygiene. You can use Fuyanjie or Jie'eryin to clean frequently. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment. If necessary, you can go for a test to see what type of bacterial infection the secretion is. Pay attention to underwear hygiene and do not drink alcohol or smoke.

Body odor is actually a special smell produced by the secretion of the apocrine sweat glands being decomposed by bacteria. From this, we can see that there are two conditions for the production of body odor: one is the secretion of the apocrine sweat glands, and the other is the local presence of bacteria. Sweat glands are accessory organs of the skin. Human sweat glands are divided into two types: apocrine sweat glands and eccrine sweat glands. There are eccrine glands distributed throughout the human body, and their secretion is sweat, which is generally colorless and clear. The apocrine sweat glands are concentrated in the armpits, the edges of the areola, the vulva, and around the anus, and their secretions are as thick as milk. The sweat glands in the perineum are mainly apocrine glands, which are mainly located on the outer side of pubic hair growth. When the substances in the secretions of the apocrine glands are decomposed by bacteria, body odor will also be produced in the perineum. Moreover, the perineum is close to the anus, and there are apocrine glands around the anus. If there are a lot of pubic hairs extending to the anus, once body odor occurs, the odor will be stronger. Because before puberty, there is no pubic hair growing in the perineum and the apocrine sweat glands have no function, body odor only appears after puberty.

In fact, having body odor does not cause any harm to your health. Pay attention to regularly cleaning the skin of the perineum, armpits, around the anus and other areas with apocrine glands, and keep it clean, dry and breathable, which can reduce body odor to a certain extent.
