Can't tell whether polyp bleeding is menstruation

Uterine polyps are a common disease among women. This disease is very dangerous to women's bodies and can be said to be a potential hidden danger. In addition, many women who often have abortions are more likely to have uterine polyps. After having uterine polyps, women will often feel abdominal pain and may also bleed. So what should we do if we can't tell whether it is polyp bleeding or menstruation?

Generally speaking, bleeding during menstruation is normal and occurs in all healthy women of childbearing age. Generally during the menstrual period, except for patients with dysmenorrhea who will experience obvious pain, healthy women in Qitai will basically not have any other discomfort. However, bleeding caused by cervical polyps is sudden and without warning, and is often accompanied by other symptoms such as abdominal pain and weight loss.

Menstruation is cyclical and is a physiological cycle. It mainly manifests itself in the menstrual cycle changes in women of childbearing age and female primates during the process of endometrial hyperplasia, vascular hyperplasia, glandular growth and secretion, and endometrial rupture. This periodic vaginal or uterine bleeding is called menstruation. It is a normal physiological process, not a disease.

We all know that cervical polyps are a type of gynecological disease. Due to the particularity of cervical polyps, their bleeding is mostly contact bleeding, which is manifested after intercourse or under the pressure of constipation. Vaginal secretions (leucorrhea) are mixed with drops of blood, sometimes in filamentous form, sometimes dark red. Cervical bleeding is irregular vaginal bleeding. It manifests as light vaginal bleeding between two menstrual periods and vaginal bleeding after menopause. The former is easily regarded as menstrual irregularity, while the latter is more easily regarded as a symptom of menopause.

Cervical polyps are mostly tongue-shaped, about the size of a sunflower seed, often appearing in the cervix, either singly or more than one, and are soft, bright red in color. Polyp tissue is loose and rich in blood vessels. Because of this unique characteristic, polyps are very easy to rupture and bleed during sexual intercourse or other behaviors. In addition to bleeding caused by friction, when some polyps produce edema, gangrene and infection, their appearance is similar to early cervical cancer, which makes women more likely to experience unexplained vaginal bleeding.

Whether it is normal menstrual bleeding or bleeding from cervical polyps, we need to pay attention to hygiene during the bleeding period. Sexual intercourse should be prohibited during this period to prevent bacteria from taking advantage of the situation. Do not eat spicy or greasy food during treatment. And conduct regular gynecological examinations and actively seek treatment. Pay attention to physical exercise, take in proper nutrients, and maintain physical and mental health.

Cervical polyps are gynecological diseases. We should adhere to the principle of "early detection and early treatment" when treating such diseases. At the same time, we should pay attention to hygiene and use relatively mild female care liquid to keep the vulva clean to prevent the invasion of bacteria. At the same time, the diseases that have been discovered and diagnosed should be controlled and treated thoroughly to prevent them from turning into more serious gynecological diseases.
