How to squeeze milk out of nipples

A woman's breasts will produce milk only after she gives birth, but many unmarried women suddenly find some wet marks on their bras. After gently squeezing, they find some milk-like secretions on their breasts. At this time, you should first check whether there may be inflammation or other diseases. In addition, it cannot be ruled out that it may be a suppurative infection caused by problems with the breasts.

Normally, a woman's breasts will secrete milk only after giving birth. However, some unmarried girls may suddenly find wet stains on their bras. If you squeeze your breasts occasionally, you can see a white liquid similar to milk flowing out. To explain the reason, we must first understand the production of milk after women give birth: the development of women's breasts is mainly affected by the effects of estrogen and progesterone secreted by the ovaries.

Estrogen stimulates the development of breast lobules, and progesterone stimulates the growth of breast ducts. Milk secretion is controlled by the nervous system through the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis which regulates the secretion of prolactin by the pituitary gland.

The hypothalamus is the "headquarters" for regulating milk secretion, and the pituitary gland is like a "combat corps" that receives orders from the headquarters. It produces prolactin based on signals from the hypothalamus. Normally, the level of prolactin in women's bodies is very low, which can only maintain normal breast development but cannot induce milk secretion.

After pregnancy, the increased sex hormones in the pregnant woman's body provide feedback, allowing the hypothalamus to receive the pregnancy information and rapidly increase the secretion of prolactin, which can reach more than 10 times the normal level before delivery. So, why do unmarried girls secrete breast milk? This is mainly because the hypothalamus in adolescence will produce "prolactin inhibitory factor", so the breasts will stop secreting milk.

The secretion of milk by an unmarried girl is also called "hyperprolactinemia". Patients with hyperprolactinemia, in addition to galactorrhea, are often accompanied by varying degrees of menstrual disorders. In severe cases, they may even experience symptoms such as amenorrhea, hair loss, weight gain, headache, visual impairment, and genital atrophy, forming a group of diseases with galactorrhea, amenorrhea, and infertility as the main manifestations, also known as "galactorrhea-amenorrhea syndrome."

However, regardless of the severity of the symptoms, the main cause is the excessive production of prolactin. There are many causes of hyperprolactinemia, which can be roughly divided into the following categories: hypothalamic disorders, pituitary disorders, primary hypothyroidism, drug factors, nerve stimulation, etc.

When young men and women are in the stage of passionate love, if their breasts and other sexually sensitive parts are touched or kissed by their lovers, this sexual stimulation can also cause excessive release of prolactin in the body through the nerve nuclei of the hypothalamus, prompting milk secretion. But this situation is different from the breast milk after childbirth. The former is light yellow and small in quantity; the latter is white, larger in quantity, and thicker.

It should be pointed out that once you find yourself having milk leakage, you should go to the hospital for a detailed examination in time. It is worth noting that both men and women with hyperprolactinemia may experience infertility and sometimes sexual dysfunction. Therefore, once milk leakage occurs, do not take it lightly or ignore it.
