Comprehensive infertility checkup

Comprehensive infertility checkup

The development and progress of modern medical technology has really benefited many people. For example, in the past society, infertility was really a big blow to a family, especially the women themselves. But now there are targeted solutions to infertility, and the success rate is also very high. When you go to the hospital to check whether you are infertile, there are 7 main examinations, which involve a full-body examination on the one hand and a detailed examination of the internal reproductive system on the other.

Infertility Test

1. Full body examination: growth and development, height, weight, thyroid gland, development of secondary sexual characteristics, and presence of galactorrhea, etc.

2. Gynecological examination: routine gynecological examination, routine leucorrhea examination, screening, colposcopy, etc.

3. Pelvic and vaginal B-ultrasound: can detect ovarian cysts and other diseases at an early stage.

4. Endocrine hormone testing: including endocrine hormone testing such as sex hormones and thyroid hormones. Selective examinations are performed according to different menstrual periods to understand whether there are endocrine diseases, ovarian function, ovulation status, etc.

5. Check for patency of fallopian tubes: including uterine perfusion and hysterosalpingography, mainly to understand whether the fallopian tubes are patency, whether the development of the uterus and fallopian tubes is normal, whether there are any deformities, etc. It also has a therapeutic effect on those with poor patency of the fallopian tubes (such as mild adhesions).

6. Immune examination: Understand the presence of anti-sperm antibodies, anti-endometrial antibodies, anti-ovarian antibodies and other immune antibodies. The detection of "anti-husband lymphocyte antibodies" can help 80% of patients with unexplained habitual abortion find the cause.

7. Others: chromosome examination, endometrial examination under hysteroscopy, cranial and brain (sella turcica) X-ray examination, chest and abdominal X-ray examination.

The main causes of infertility

1. Ovulatory dysfunction, which is manifested as no ovulation during the menstrual cycle, or although ovulation occurs, the corpus luteum function is not sound after ovulation.

2. Congenital abnormalities in the development of the reproductive organs or acquired reproductive organ diseases hinder the patency and function of the reproductive tract from the vulva to the fallopian tube, hinder the meeting of sperm and egg, and lead to infertility.

3. Immunological factors: refers to the presence of anti-sperm antibodies in the female reproductive tract or serum, which cause sperm to agglutinate each other, lose vitality or die, leading to infertility or sterility. In addition, some infertile women have antibodies against their own egg zona pellucida in their serum, which can prevent sperm from penetrating the egg and fertilizing it, and can also cause infertility.

4. Infertility caused by sexual dysfunction, lack of sexual knowledge, systemic diseases and unknown reasons accounts for about 1/3 of the causes of infertility.

Precautions for preventing infertility

1. Use some medicines and cosmetics with caution. Eat less artificially farmed meat protein and offshore fish, as these meats contain various environmental hormone-like additives. In addition, detergents, deodorants, and fragrance sprays used in daily life contain phenol environmental hormones, so stay away from these chemical products as much as possible.

2. Eat some health products with antioxidant effects, eat more foods that have the function of scavenging free radicals, and eat more grains and yellow-green leafy vegetables. According to research, eating more grains and yellow-green leafy vegetables, such as brown rice, millet, yellow rice, buckwheat, spinach, radish, cabbage, etc., is beneficial to the excretion of chemical toxins from the body.

3. After an ejaculation, it usually takes 5 to 7 days for the sperm to mature and reach a sufficient number. If you have sex too often or without restraint, the amount of sperm ejaculated each time will be small, making it difficult to conceive. In addition, interrupted sexual life, masturbation or prolonged sexual intercourse can lead to aseptic prostatitis, which directly affects the nutritional content of semen and sperm motility, causing infertility.

4. You should pay attention to controlling your sexual intercourse and not have it too frequent. Moderate sexual life is very beneficial to the conception of seeds and is very important for preventing infertility. However, the interval should not be too long, otherwise there will be retained semen, which will seriously affect the movement of sperm. Having a moderate, effective and harmonious sex life is conducive to normal conception.
