There are a few days when I have a lot of vaginal discharge

Some women will find that there are a few special days every month when the amount of leucorrhea increases. Leucorrhea is a relatively normal secretion of the female lower body. If a woman has abnormal leucorrhea, she should also pay attention to it, because most abnormal leucorrhea may cause vaginitis. Gynecological diseases are very harmful to women. So is it normal to have an increase in leucorrhea for a few days every month?

When a woman's ovaries begin to develop during puberty, secretions will be discharged from the vagina. These secretions are a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical body and part of the endometrium, and contain vaginal epithelial exfoliated cells, white blood cells, and lactobacilli. Medically, this is called "leucorrhea."

Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea is a colorless, thick, viscous liquid, generally odorless. The amount varies from person to person and is often related to the level of estrogen and congestion of the reproductive organs. Generally, when the menstrual period is approaching ovulation, the amount of leucorrhea increases, and it becomes clear, transparent, and thin like egg white. 2 to 3 days after ovulation, the leucorrhea becomes turbid, sticky, and less in amount. Before menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, the vaginal mucosal exudate increases, and the amount of leucorrhea may increase.

In addition, during pregnancy, vaginal mucosal exudates and cervical secretions increase, so there is more leucorrhea. Before and after sexual intercourse, using contraceptive drugs in the vagina, etc. can all cause an increase in the amount of leucorrhea. All of the above are within the normal physiological range. If there are changes in the color, quality, quantity and smell of leucorrhea, it is often a signal of reproductive organ disease. It should be taken seriously, the cause should be found out in time and active treatment should be given.
