Excessive vaginal discharge after pregnancy

Excessive vaginal discharge after pregnancy

Many girls say that their vaginal discharge increases after pregnancy, because after pregnancy, women's gynecological tissues will have more water, and eating a variety of nutritional supplements will also cause some changes in endocrine. As the pregnancy month increases, the pressure on the female uterus will increase. At this time, some vaginal discharge needs to be secreted to relieve the pressure. So is it normal to have a lot of vaginal discharge after pregnancy?

After pregnancy, the amount of leucorrhea of pregnant women will be significantly more than usual. This is because the blood flow in the genitals, vagina, and cervix of pregnant women is vigorous, the tissue water increases, and thus the secretions also increase. The further the pregnancy progresses, the more vaginal discharge there is. Many pregnant women often feel that their vagina is always wet and uncomfortable. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy, and there are ways to deal with it. Just rinse your vulva with warm water, change your underwear frequently, and keep it clean.

During pregnancy, the corpus luteum of the ovary secretes a large amount of estrogen and progesterone to maintain the implantation and development of the fertilized egg, so that the pregnant woman's body always maintains a state of high estrogen and progesterone; so that the estrogen and progesterone-dependent cells undergo obvious changes, the vulva tissue becomes soft and moist, the vaginal epithelium thickens, the blood vessels become congested, the exudate and desquamated cells increase, and the amount of leucorrhea discharged from the body of the woman increases significantly. As a woman's pregnancy progresses, more estrogen and progesterone are secreted, and the amount of vaginal discharge increases. Therefore, many pregnant women always feel wet and uncomfortable in their vagina during pregnancy. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy and there is no need to worry.

However, when pregnant women have increased leucorrhea, they must pay more attention to the cleanliness of the vulva. Because increased vaginal discharge will cause the lower body to be always moist, it is easy for bacteria to grow in the female genitals, causing gynecological inflammation such as vaginitis, which affects women's health. Pregnant women are advised to wash the vulva with warm water 2-3 times a day and wash their underwear frequently.
