What to do if you drink rice wine during pregnancy

Women need to pay special attention when they are pregnant. Some foods cannot be eaten. Eating them will affect the health of the baby. Therefore, the diet of pregnant women is not only related to their own health, but also to the health of the baby. Rice wine is a common thing in life and has great effects. Many people like to drink rice wine. What should I do if I drink rice wine during pregnancy?

What should I do if I drink rice wine during pregnancy?

During the first four months of pregnancy, when the fetus is still in its formation stage, pregnant women should not drink alcohol. After four months, pregnant women can drink low-alcohol wine in moderation each week. However, there is no clear standard for what is "moderate", and everyone's ability to metabolize alcohol is different. Therefore, if the expectant mother wants to drink, just take a few sips and no more than twice a week.

First, go to the hospital for a check-up and tell the doctor about your drinking history (including the time, amount, and frequency of drinking) so that the doctor can have a record and do a targeted check-up to see if there are any problems such as threatened miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, etc.

Secondly, pregnant women should supplement more folic acid and vitamins. Both folic acid and vitamins help prevent fetal malformations and promote the healthy development of the baby. Don't take folic acid blindly, you should follow the doctor's advice. Vitamin supplements are best obtained through food, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Finally, don’t worry too much about this. If you drink alcohol without knowing it, your body will first break down and filter out some of the alcohol. Moreover, conception is a process of survival of the fittest. Only the best eggs and sperm can combine to become a fertilized egg, and only after passing through layers of resistance can they enter the uterus and develop into an embryo. Since the fetus survived, it means that he withstood the "test" of alcohol. Worrying too much will be more harmful to the fetus.

Maternity period calculation

Due date is the date a pregnant woman is expected to give birth. Since it is difficult to accurately determine the time of conception in a pregnant woman, medical regulations stipulate that the expected date of delivery is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period, and the pregnancy lasts about 280 days, which is 40 weeks, equivalent to 10 months. The expected date of delivery can generally be calculated using the following methods:

1. Calculate based on the last menstrual period: add 9 or subtract 3 from the month of the last menstrual period to get the month of the expected delivery date; add 7 to the day of the last menstrual period to get the day of the expected delivery date. For example: the last menstrual period was April 15, 2014, date 15+7=22, month 4-3=1, and the expected date of delivery is January 22, 2015.

2. Calculate based on the date of fetal movement: If the pregnant woman cannot remember the date of the last menstrual period, she can calculate based on the date of fetal movement. Generally, fetal movement begins 18-20 weeks after pregnancy. The calculation method is: for primiparas, it is the day of fetal movement plus 20 weeks; for multiparas, it is the day of fetal movement plus 22 weeks.

3. Calculate according to the basal body temperature curve: take the last day of the low temperature segment of the basal body temperature curve as the ovulation day, and count back 264-268 days from the ovulation day, or add 38 weeks.

4. Calculation based on B-ultrasound examination: When the doctor performs B-ultrasound, the gestational age can be estimated based on the measured biparietal diameter of the fetal head, crown-rump length and femur length, and the expected date of delivery can be calculated.

5. Calculate from the time when morning sickness starts: morning sickness usually occurs in the sixth week of pregnancy.
