Oxytetracycline tablets are broad-spectrum antibacterial agents, and many rickettsiae, mycoplasmas, chlamydiae, and spirochetes are sensitive to this product. Enterococci are resistant to it. Others such as Actinomycetes, Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium, Nocardia, Vibrio, Brucella, Campylobacter, Yersinia, etc. are also sensitive to this product.

Oxytetracycline Tablets Indications 1. This product can be used as an optional drug for the following diseases: (1) Rickettsial diseases, including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Rocky Mountain fever, scrub typhus and Q fever. (2) Mycoplasma infection. (3) Chlamydia infections, including psittacosis, sexually transmitted diseases, lymphoma, nonspecific urethritis, salpingitis, cervicitis and trachoma. (4) Relapsing fever. (5) Brucellosis. (6) Cholera. (7) Tularemia.

If you take medications during pregnancy, it will have a certain impact on the fetus. In this case, you need to do strict pregnancy checkups, do Down syndrome screening at 14-19 weeks of pregnancy, do four-dimensional color ultrasound prenatal fetal anomaly screening at 22-26 weeks of pregnancy, and if necessary, do amniocentesis and umbilical cord blood analysis at 16-20 weeks of pregnancy. This can clarify the baby's development in the womb.

As mentioned above, pregnant women cannot take oxytetracycline tablets. Whether during pregnancy or breastfeeding, taking oxytetracycline may affect the fetus. Therefore, it is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women to take oxytetracycline. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should treat bacterial infections under the guidance of a doctor.
