The follicle is a substance that exists inside the female ovary, and the main function of the follicle is to discharge eggs. Because there is a close relationship between the eggs and follicles in a woman's body, the quality of the follicles directly determines the quality of the eggs. And when the follicle grows to a certain size, it will rupture and discharge normal eggs. But after a woman ovulates, can she still see the follicle through B-ultrasound? Can I still see the follicles on ultrasound after ovulation? Generally, the follicles cannot be seen on B-ultrasound after ovulation. On B-ultrasound after ovulation, a dark liquid area of 4-6mm or even more can be seen in the uterine rectal crypts. Comparison between after ovulation and before ovulation is an important basis for determination. If there are still follicles after ovulation, they are most likely polycystic ovary syndrome, which is also a common disease that causes anovulation. How to know if you are ovulating 1. Basal body temperature measurement During ovulation, as the follicle ruptures, estrogen levels in the body drop dramatically, causing body temperature to drop. If the basal body temperature shows a biphasic change, that is, a high temperature period follows a low temperature period and lasts for about 13-14 days, it means ovulation. On the contrary, if the low temperature persists, it may be caused by luteal insufficiency and anovulation. 2. Endocrine examination The estrogen peak before ovulation promotes positive feedback and a peak in luteinizing hormone occurs. Ovulation occurs about 36 hours after the peak, and luteinizing hormone drops suddenly during ovulation. After ovulation, blood is drawn before menstruation begins to check hormone levels in the body. 3. Monitor ovulation through B-ultrasound B-ultrasound monitoring of ovulation can directly observe the development of follicles, whether ovulation has occurred and the response of the ovaries to ovulation drugs. It is currently the best method to observe ovulation. The specific method is to observe the appearance and development of the dominant follicle from the 8th to the 10th day of the menstrual cycle until the ovulation period. Generally, when the dominant follicle continues to grow and then disappears, it means ovulation has occurred. B-ultrasound can not only observe ovulation, but also detect the condition of the endometrium at the same time, such as analyzing the thickness and morphology, which is of certain reference significance for pregnancy preparation. 4. Ovulation test strips Ovulation test strips predict ovulation by measuring peak LH levels. Ovulation occurs when the strong yang turns weak. If the ovulation test paper turns from strong positive to weak, it means that ovulation will occur within 24 hours. |
