What medicine is good for external itching

Vulvar itching is a common gynecological disease in women. The causes of this gynecological disease are mostly closely related to women's own hygiene and private life. If the private life is chaotic, it is likely to lead to vulvar harassment. When taking medicine for this disease, you can choose to apply ointment. So what medicine is effective for vulvar itching?

Vulvar itching is not just an ordinary itching

When the symptoms of vulvar itching are mild, they will not cause serious impact on women, but once they become severe, they can make women feel uneasy and affect their normal work, study and life. Some women are prone to recurrent attacks, which are accompanied by unbearable itching and tend to worsen at night.

If you can't help scratching at this time, the skin of your private parts may be scratched, which may cause ulceration, redness, swelling or infection. If the itching spreads to the vulva and perianal area, the infection may spread to a wider area. What’s even more frightening is that severe vulvar itching is difficult to cure and tends to recur. If left untreated for a long time, it can cause premature birth and fetal malformations.

Common causes of vaginal itching

Excessive fatigue, frequent sexual intercourse, and decreased immunity can all cause itching. There are various microorganisms in the normal human reproductive system, including the vagina. The microorganisms maintain friendly relationships with each other, forming a state of balance.

When this balance is disrupted, symptoms occur. When you are overworked, have frequent sexual intercourse or have a weakened immune system, the ecological balance of the vagina will be disrupted and the normal flora in the vagina may become pathogenic bacteria. At the same time, in this situation, external pathogens are eager to take advantage of the opportunity to enter, which leads to the occurrence of vaginal itching.

It is not advisable to wash the vulva with hot water for itching

Although washing with hot water can relieve the itching symptoms, this is only temporary. The temperature of hot water for bathing is not enough to kill bacteria and sterilize. In addition, the "culprit" causing vulvar itching is not necessarily bacteria. It may be because the private parts are stimulated by allergens and dermatitis occurs. For example, some women who are allergic to chemical fibers may experience irritation to their genitals and itching when wearing chemical fiber underwear.
