Immunohistochemistry results

Immunohistochemistry is a detection method that is increasingly being used in clinical medicine, mainly for some cancers and tumor diseases. Especially for cancer and tumor diseases in women, immunohistochemistry can be used to effectively determine the cause. Immunohistochemistry is a kind of examination that mainly uses antibodies in the human body for specialized operation and examination, but what are the criteria for judging the results of immunohistochemistry?

Determination and analysis of immunohistochemical experimental results

In terms of experimental results, immunohistochemistry technical services mainly involve the description and analysis of antibody experimental results, the determination and selection of images, and the provision of relevant data. The above work is the key content of immunohistochemistry. Only strict experimental design, standard experimental operation, and professional result analysis can better meet customer requirements. This is even more important for antibodies in the form of ascites, supernatant, culture fluid, etc. The above service contents should be clearly defined by both parties before the experiment. Generally speaking, the client should propose what kind of results and analysis are needed before the experiment, such as whether the experimental results should be described briefly or in detail, whether experimental data is needed, the number and specifications of pictures, etc. If it is a double-blind trial or involves a third party, this should be stated in advance.

The significance of immunohistochemistry in clinical work

In recent years, with the development of immunohistochemistry technology and the emergence of various specific antibodies, many difficult tumors have been clearly diagnosed. In conventional tumor pathology diagnosis, 5%-10% of cases are difficult to make a clear morphological diagnosis based on HE staining alone. In particular, the practical value of immunohistochemistry in tumor diagnosis and differential diagnosis has been widely recognized. Its accuracy rate in the differential diagnosis of poorly differentiated or undifferentiated tumors can reach 50%-75%.

The clinical applications of immunohistochemistry mainly include the following aspects:

(1) Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of malignant tumors;

(2) determine the primary site of metastatic malignancy;

(3) Further pathological classification of a certain type of tumor;

(4) The treatment of soft tissue tumors generally needs to be based on the correct histological classification. Because there are many types of soft tissue tumors and their tissue morphology is similar, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish their tissue origin. The use of multiple markers for immunohistochemical studies is indispensable for the diagnosis of soft tissue tumors;

(5) The discovery of micrometastases helps determine the clinical treatment plan, including the scope of surgery.

(6) Provide treatment options for clinicians.
