Endometrial shedding

Endometrial shedding

Women's menstrual period is very regular. If it is irregular, you should be alert to the possibility of disease. What we call menstruation is the shedding of the endometrium, which occurs in every period. However, this phenomenon no longer occurs when a woman is pregnant, because the uterus needs to supply nutrients to the fetus. This is a very regular phenomenon. Endometrial shedding is a long-term cyclical process, and women should pay more attention to a proper diet in their daily lives.

What is endometrial shedding?

1. The shedding of the endometrium is an innate reproductive ability of every woman. It is precisely because the uterus has the function of storing nutrients that shedding occurs. Once a woman is pregnant, the nutrients in the uterus will no longer shed and will provide nutrition for the fetus.

2 The endometrium of a woman is the accumulation of nutrients in the body. When the endometrium has reached a certain thickness, it will naturally fall off. This is a way of metabolism in the uterus and can help women form a good physiological cycle.

3 When a woman's endometrium sheds, menstruation will occur and be discharged from the body through the cervix and vagina in the form of menstrual blood, completing the natural cycle that occurs every month. This is a normal manifestation of female physiology and allows women to have the ability to become pregnant.

4 The shedding of the endometrium is a long process. Women will form a reproductive system cycle due to the continuous absorption and excretion of the body. This is a necessary process in every woman's life and will bring benefits to women's health.

The shedding of the endometrium is a normal phenomenon. It is the main manifestation of menstruation. It is generally related to the cyclical changes in hormone levels in the body. If there are no other symptoms, there is no need to worry. Regarding adnexitis, regular anti-inflammatory treatment is required. Such as appropriate use of drugs such as ofloxacin, cefaclor or metronidazole. At the same time, you can apply hot compress to your abdomen.

How to treat endometrial shedding

1. Progesterone

By adjusting the feedback function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis, the corpus luteum can be atrophied in time and the endometrium can be shed completely and on time. You can start taking progesterone supplements daily 1-2 days after ovulation or 10-14 days before the next menstruation for 10 consecutive days. Those who want to have children can inject progesterone intramuscularly or take natural micronized progesterone orally. Those who do not desire to have children can take oral monophasic contraceptives, starting on the 5th day of menstruation, 1 tablet per day for 21 consecutive days as a cycle, and take 3 consecutive cycles to suppress ovulation.

2. Chorionic gonadotropin

HCG can be injected intramuscularly every other day after the basal body temperature rises, for a total of 3 to 5 times, to promote corpus luteum function.
