How do girls judge chicken breasts?

Pigeon chest is a disease, most of which are congenital. It is caused by the body's lack of vitamin D and calcium. Strengthening the supplementation of these substances during infancy can effectively change the condition of pigeon chest. But how do girls determine if they have pigeon breasts? There are three types of pigeon chest, namely boat-shaped chest, spherical chest and unilateral pigeon chest. Women can check whether they have pigeon chest according to the introduction.

Clinically, according to the different shapes of the sternum, chicken breast can be divided into three types:

1. Boat-shaped chest

The main symptoms are elongation and forward bulging of the sternum and depression of the lower costal cartilages on both sides, which are like the keel of a ship. In severe cases, the chest cavity capacity is reduced. The lateral X-ray showed that the ribs were separated from the sternum and the retrosternal space was extended.

2. Spherical pigeon breast

The characteristic of spherical pigeon chest is the bulge of the junction between the manubrium and the body of the sternum and the adjacent costal cartilage. If the sternal angle (lou) is reduced, the body of the sternum will sink, causing the 2nd to 5th costal cartilages to bulge next to the sternum. Spherical pigeon chest is often accompanied by sternal ossification lines, especially early ossification at the junction of the manubrium and the body of the sternum, which can be seen in children 3 years old or even before 3 years old. In general, 99% of people, regardless of their age, have an open junction between the manubrium and the body of the sternum. The ossification of the junction between the manubrium and the body of the sternum and the bulge of the sternal angle are called "sternal angular bone connection".

3. Unilateral chicken breast

Unilateral pectus carinatum is also called asymmetric pectus carinatum, which is characterized by protrusion on one side of the chest wall, sometimes accompanied by depression on the opposite side. Costal cartilage deformity plays an important role in this type, and the abnormal position of the sternum is not obvious.

What to do with chicken breasts for women

1. Surgical treatment

1. Sternum rotation surgery

Can be flipped with or without vascular pedicle. The method is basically the same as the surgical method for funnel chest. During the operation, special attention should be paid to the fact that the ribs and costal cartilages of the chicken chest are relatively long, especially the 3rd and 4th ribs and costal cartilages of the chicken chest are the longest, while the 5th rib is relatively short. The resection length should be controlled well, and appropriate trimming is recommended after the sternum is flipped over to achieve good correction.

2. Sternum sedimentation

The incision is usually made in the middle of the chest, or through a transverse incision. First, the pectoralis major muscles on both sides are separated to the deformed costal cartilages on both sides. The rectus abdominis muscles are cut at their attachment points, turned downward, the deformed rib periosteum is cut, and the excessive part is removed. During the operation, the length of the costal cartilage removal should be controlled to avoid compression of the heart by sternal settlement. The excessively long periosteum is sutured longitudinally. If the pectoral muscle deformity is severe, a transverse wedge osteotomy is also required to flatten the sternum. It is then fixed with wire, the pectoralis major muscle is pulled together and sutured, and the rectus abdominis muscle is sutured to the front of the sternum.

2. Non-surgical treatment

1. Static Yoga

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, relax your body and close your eyes slightly. Gently raise your arms forward to the top of your head while inhaling. Pause for a moment, let your arms fall naturally, accompanied by deep exhalation. Do this several times a day for 10 minutes each time.

2. Push-ups or holding dumbbells

Do push-ups or raise your arms in front of you with dumbbells 3-4 times a day, each time for 10 minutes.

3. Single and double bars

Do somersaults on single and double bars on an empty stomach every morning, but don't overexert yourself.

4. Jogging

It helps to enhance visceral activity, expand breathing volume, and improve chest hypoplasia.
